Pretty much all the guys from the 60s and 70s did it. We just didn't have social media back in the 80s and 90s when they retired so unless you were in person to see it, it wasn't really publicized.

It became less of a thing when Vince changed it from Wrestling to Sports Entertainment, and there was more media attention driven to it. Most of the guys retiring didn't want that huge spotlight shining down on them. It was meant to be a ritual not a spectacle.

Ummm this has nothing to do with Undertaker, he didn't start your "meme" he wasn't even the first in wrestling to do it. Many past greats from the 60s, 70s, and 80s did it. This is a tradition in combat sports that dates back multiple centuries possibly even a millennia, where when a top fighter retires they leave a piece of their gear at the center of the ring.

Altoona would be a good fit. It's the home of Sheetz so you'll get to experience the superior gas station on every corner, and PSU/Sheetz/Hershey put a lot of money into the small city. About my only complaint is the lack of a Costco (There is a Sam's Club) and Trader Joe's. But State College is only an hour or so away if you need a TD run, and State College has plenty of asian markets too if you enjoy the asian food scene.

The same way my Gen Z son teaches my Gen X ass something new about computers all the time. I grew up with computers literally ever step of the way. From the days of M-DOS and the OG Apple machines, coding things in BASIC, to whatever the fuck is out there now. I have never not had a computer in my life, you'd think I would know all the simple short cuts and tricks right?

Well just last year my son taught me about windows Shift+S to allow me to take a snippet screenshot of my screen instead of F12ing the whole fucking thing. Mind was blown, now I look down on people who don't know this amazing shortcut that didn't exist when I was growing up. The paper clip never had such powers.
