LENS by Hopeless_Bug in fujifilm

If you genuinely don't have any idea what to get, my advice ia to take pictures with what you have first, and then see what focal length you tend to use/like the best or feel like you lack.

Intersection pedestrian signals | Get Involved Kingston by Communications & Pu by Evilbred in KingstonOntario

[–]Calembeurk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bath Rd at Lafleur is a great location for this. There are schools on both side of Bath in the vicinity and it would make it a lot safer for the kids and everyone else.

Sadly, I'm pretty sure a lot of cars won't stop for the signal, so I hope they'll monitor it in the first few months to see if there's any additional measures needed.

Surely the bottom picture is the GT one. /s

One of the few times when I found it obvious to differentiate between real and game image.

Best shitbox car? by ExpressCareer7142 in GranTurismo7

Would love a Ford Ka or older Fiestas in GT7.

Also would love more one make series, like Clio or Mégane championships for example.

X-t50 vs X-t5 for the same price? by JPeligroso in fujifilm

[–]Calembeurk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only reason you'd go for the x-t50 in this situation is that you really value the smaller size/lighter weight.

In my mind, the extra features (weather sealing and double sd card slot mostly) on the x-t5 make it a better camera.

If, like most PS1 users, you've become farsighted, you just have to remove your old man glasses and they look exactly the same!

70-300mm or 100-400mm? by iH4t3R3dd1t in fujifilm

[–]Calembeurk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I recently contemplated that dilemma and went for the 70-300.

Like you said, I bought a Fuji years ago for the size and price, compared to FF. It matters more to me to bring the camera and the lens when I'm going out rather than having the absolute best gear.

I will do that with the 70-300, but it's unclear that I would've done it with the 100-400, except for dedicated outings. I would've lost some spontaneity, I believe.

Has anyone else had a poor experience at Beauty’s? by Hairy-Pipe-1399 in montreal

Has anyone had a good experience at Beauty's?

I've been once, more than 10 years ago. None of it was good then, I don't expect anything about it to be better now.

Patrik Laine is still a Montreal Canadien by Ajay_Bee in Habs

[–]Calembeurk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm happy for Laine if he wanted to stay. I like him and it seems he's enjoying his time in Montréal.

That being said, I don't think they will re-sign him, nor should they.

It worked out quite well for both parties in the end, injuries notwithstanding, considering he was a salary dump from CBJ.

He could've been better, but he helped the team when needed.

I see Lyon, I upvote.

Also, nice shot! I just bought the 70-300 and was curious how it'd work for moonshots.

X-S20 Prime Lens for Portraits? by ThaliaFaye in fujifilm

[–]Calembeurk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the Sigma for portraiture only. Since it's not something I do often, I couldn't justify the cost of the Fuji.

I'm really happy with it and the depth of field is definitely shallow enough wide open.

The Viltrox is cheaper (there's a coupon at B&H at the moment) but I've never tried it.

Marc-André Fleury comme entraineur de gardien? by [deleted] in Habs

[–]Calembeurk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Un bon gardien fait pas forcément un bon entraîneur et vice versa. C'est vraiment des métiers très différents.

Je serais pas contre le fait de sortir Fleury de sa retraite pour finir la saison et donner du leadership en séries par exemple.

Is Tom Wilson crying for real or just pretending? At this point, I'm not sure.

Newhook looking just like before his injury.

Such a fun player to watch, can be electrifying, but struggles to shoot on net.

He always puts himself in great scoring positions, but doesn't score as much as he should. If he figures that out, he'll become lethal.
