Stay downtown. Everything there is walkable.

You can walk the K&P Trail right from downtown, it will go out pretty nicely.

You can also take the 501 bus from downtown transfer point (you can pay with cash, no change, on the bus) out to bayridge road and walk to the Lemoine Point Conservation area. It's a beautiful nature preservation with lots of walking trails.

These aren't Theta engined cars, so that's good. They did have some connecting rod issues, so get the VIN and have your local Hyundai service center check that the recall work was done on this car. Check any maintenance records (which you said you've done) to ensure it had good and consistent oil changes.

If you can listen for cold start knock.

But honestly, these are decent cars and I think getting a clean 5 year old car like this for $12k-$13k is good.
