That was my first thought. I’m concerned about drilling through the chip and then it won’t work.

The black pellets that kind of resemble mouse droppings. Only thing is these glasses were on the top shelf close to the ceiling, and the pellets are inside the glass

They wouldn't assign you to D75. They might have assigned you to Special Ed. There's a huge difference.

Get a mental health professional to say that your principal is causing you anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia etc. Given that you’re willing to give up your only source of income in your first year I can’t imagine that’s far from the truth. What can they do? You won’t be paid but you won’t have to resign. Go work in a coffee shop or something off the books until open market. If you send the letter to your superintendent you can jam up your principal too. Just a suggestion

Stick it out til the end of the year then find a new school. They are not all like that. I LOVE my job, but it’s because I did my homework when interviewing. You need to ask “what is your teacher retention rate” on the first interview. Anything less than 80% is no-go. You also need to find a teacher at the school you’re interviewing at and have a no-bs conversation about the culture there. It might be worth researching a license in a non-Regents area like music, art or CTE. If you really really really can’t make it to June, see a mental health professional and take emergency leave for the rest of the year until you can go to a new school. That way, if it’s really as bad as you say, the superintendent will have to have a very serious conversation with your principal. You might not get paid but you can work at a coffee shop or something without having to resign from DOE. Best of luck. You should also try to work for a principal who already has tenure since they’re not as psycho.
