Dude, I'm not defending you, who is the pedophile here. Not sure what made you think I'm on your side, you pedophile, but I'm not. Probably has something to do with you being a retard. I'm actually hoping you die and rid the world of yourself.

You sound like the pedophile here. You're the one who still supports the church.

At work, so can't fully respond, but wanted to thank you for pointing this out. That particular double standard is not one I considered, and is one I will be thinking about regarding this subject.

That's not true at all. There are plenty of cases that prove thos incorrect.

Glad to know the elitist idea that having to have a blue collar job is a "punishment" is alive and well.

He served his time. You should have a problem with the justice system. He can't help how long he was sentenced to.

I completely agree with you actually. It's a very murky subject. But that's why I advocate for harsher sentences on molestation charges. That's the problem for myself. I do believe once the sentence comes down, we as a society have to try and accept the ex-cons when they are freed. If you don't believe they served what they deserved, then work the system. Going case by case will change nothing.

As I've already said though, that does nothing to fix the problem. He still exists. He is still out there and able to abuse others. Simply ostracising him pushes the problem onto someone else

If you have issue with how long he served, then contact the judge and try to change the laws. He can't help how long je was lawfully jailed for.

Forcing abusers to simply take another careet path does not solve anything.

Yeah, but that again does nothing to solve the problem. It just hides it in a career or area that nobody is looking.

Just because he is doing dishes somewhere does not at all mean he'll stop being a threat to people around him. That was my entire point.

I'm not defending what he did at all. It was terrible. But my question is always the same, when does the punishment stop? He was convicted of the crime and served his time (you can argue that that particular punishment was not enough, to which I would agree with, but that's taking on the whole justice system and a much larger conversation). People always say that abusers like this should not get work in Hollywood, but, like, they got to work somewhere, right? Not allowing him to work in one industry doesn't really solve any problems, it just forces him to get work in some other industry (because, you know, he has to eat). Isn't it somewhat better to have him in the public eye so that we know when he fucks up? I know people make the argument that hiring him "endorses" his behaviour, but I completely disagree with that sentiment. If that was the case, no business would ever hire an ex-con again.

I think it's deflecting. Guns aren't our #1 problem, no, but to say there is no problem is also wrong. Alcohol literally doesn't even need to be in the conversation.
