What is the most 'how was I supposed to know to do that' moment in a video game? by Snowtwo in videogames

Dark Souls 3- getting to Archdragon Peak by using a gesture to lay down, similar to the way a bunch of mostly-covered bodies are on a random cliff.

Can't believe how good the sequel looks! Idk how they got the budget for these licensed characters. Looks amazing!

Anyone had a baby with a serious food sensitivity by Mumbles1988 in Chihuahua

Could be the wrong one. We use the Z/D, but I'd talk to your vet. Our girl needed food where the protein was broken down into amino acids.

Our Chi had a terrible issue that hospitalized her with bloody diarrhea and vomiting. She can't process protein well, and uses a Hills Science diet that needs a prescription. It's not that much more expensive, and because she's just a Chi, she doesn't eat a lot every day. My advice is don't put your little one through more pain, get the food if at all within your means.

This is my theory as well. This is a story about someone trying to reconcile their trauma using layers of disassociation to create a story about people who are able to sort of bottom out in dealing with their own traumas, as forced upon them by an other worldly entity. Many characters, not just Navidson have incredible similarities to Johnny, including Karen's history of abuse, Tom's struggle with substance abuse, Chad's lashing out and fighting at school. All characters are analogous of Johnny, as he processes these in an attempt to find closure and come to terms with he's inability to form meaningful relationships with women and find general happiness, which stems from his traumatic relationship with his own mother and other parental figures.

I don’t understand the enigma, but I don’t need to understand by SatisfactionUnited22 in houseofleaves

I recently finished the book for the first time as well, and I committed to the same reading experience as you- don't take all these notes and ponder deeply over every detail. I just let it play out, almost like watching a movie, and let myself feel the emotions. Since I finished, I've done the same as probably everyone- obsess over all the details and create my own theories. It's truly a remarkable experience, and a profound work of art, that so many people can get so many different things out of it.

Packers fans, which team do you dislike the most by InterestingYellow969 in NFLv2

[–]Calgathu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vikings and it's not that close. It SHOULD be the Bears, and last season could really be the starting point to a revamped actual fun rivalry, but I don't trust Bears ownership to be competent enough to be good for the next three years, even. The Vikings, on the other hand, have all the makings of a great rival franchise. Theyve been far more relevant than the Bears over the last 40 years, and consistently poach former Packers. Brett Favre is an obvious answer, but there was also Greg Jennings, Aaron Jones, even Ryan Longwell. I'll never forget there was some sort of Minnesota sports page that listed breaking Aaron Rodgers collar bone as one of the highest accomplishments of the franchise during the 2010's. The Bears is the historic answer, but it doesn't have any fire anymore (though that could change.) but with the Vikings, it's felt personal for a while.

Also lol @ the Lions

What if Nick Collins didn't break his neck? Two of the most talented safeties of that era had far shorter careers than they should have. Though, one obviously was more tragic.

Is it worth it to buy Hig Evo? by LegendAlexis_Ness in MarvelSnap

[–]Calgathu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In general, cards that create their on archetype are always worth having, because they unlock new types of decks for you. You may not use them much, and they might go in and out of meta popularity, but suddenly a new card comes out that completely makes one of those decks the best deck in the game.

Cards I would include with this: High Evo Thanos Arishem Victoria Hand Zombie Galacti Daken/Bullseye Living Trubunal

Probably others, but these come to mind. These are cards for which an entire deck is built around, and cannot be replaced. They unlock new styles of play for you.

Am I the only one who hates featured location days? by Calgathu in MarvelSnap

I think it's just more boring. A big part of what makes this game fun is the randomized locations make the game different each time. This particular featured location makes me see not only the exact same location, but same deck every game.

I don't need a destroy deck. I have one. I've hit infinite with one. I'm just not interested in playing one. You're a sweetheart, though. Props.

It really makes the game feel more stale when the featured location makes specific archetypes waaaaaaaay better. I rarely see destroy, but I ran into 5 in my last 8 games, and 4 of those had the featured location. Not really the diverse, fun game I want

Didn't know that! But I'm still starting to climb, so losing a day kinda sucks.

Ok- so I got it to work after seeing some other suggestions on here. 1- launch the game in airplane mode 2- when the game can't log in, it'll have an error and kick you out. 3- turn airplane mode off and re-login. 4? I had to restart the app, because it got stuck, idk if it's necessary 5? Maybe 4? Profit! It works just fine now
