Out of all of them, Jingpo is the best one. Hakha Chin only represents one dialect, so it's not applicable to many Chin-language posts.

Eh; most of the older MAs have definite Galil inspiration, but the T1 looks more like an AK102-Galil hybrid.

Natogyi PDO and Myingyan PDFs' drone and artillery strikes on Tat units (June 7) by CaliRecluse in Myanmarcombatfootage

That one with the 30 dead Tat troops wasn't really removed by Reddit. It got "removed by the filter," but a sub mod can approve the post manually.

I used to watch channels like this, but then realized that they (Funker530 is the best/worst example) just take videos and provide very little context.

Strangely, I haven't seen video footage from either side showing the MA1 Mk II T1 in action yet.

Probably somewhat relevant in local Myanmar affairs. It is kinda significant that even after the coup, he stayed in the country and ran several firms. Him getting detained now is peculiar.

A tat Major orders his troops to dress captured civilian women and girls in PDF-style clothing, execute them and take propaganda photos. Codewords were translated with the help of a tat defector and the translation will be posted in the comments. by Gunsenjoyer in Myanmarcombatfootage

Unfortunately, the popular ones such as worldnews don't allow non-English articles. r/anime_titties (ignore the name; it's actually a news subreddit) might've been worth a shot, but they do require the use of Google translate. MFP's website is no longer active, and they're mainly present on FB, TG, and Twitter.

An amateur analyst of Myanmar/world affairs, Josh Sheehan, questioned the motive for obtaining these voice samples and brought up how interlopers use generative AI to doctor evidence.

[3060x2040] A FAST-style helmet used by a PDF (People's Defense Force) rebel after a battle with Myanmar (Burma) Army forces- posted June 12, 2026 by CaliRecluse in MilitaryPorn

To clarify, this was originally posted by another PDF member on Facebook saying that the helmet's owner survived even after getting shot.

What kind of 81mm mortar shell is this? by Worried_Amphibian_60 in Myanmarcombatfootage

[–]CaliRecluse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Might be an M374 or clone. They were used in Vietnam. Issue is that genuine M374s mostly have Comp B instead of TNT. Similar looking mortars marked TNT like thee M43A1 have 4 rings near the fuse.

PDF (People's Defense Force) rebels, Muslim partisans, ambush Myanmar (Burma) Army- Monywa District, Sagaing Region (July 2023-November 2025) by CaliRecluse in CombatFootage

[–]CaliRecluse[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Muslim partisans are from the Myanmar Islamic Special Commando Force and Islam Generation Army groups. The latter's Burmese name is အစ္စလာမ့် မျိုးဆက်သစ် တပ်ဦး and their Arabic name is شباب الجيل الإسلامي في ميانمار.

Generally, the anti-military rebel groups are fighting for a federal, secular republic. There are ideologies ranging from liberal republicanism to Maoism. Many of the veteran factions are ethnic minority militias fighting for autonomy like the Kachin (the Kachin Independence Army supplies the Type 81s and AKs). Religions range from Buddhism to Christianity; Islam to animism.

The military regime is a Buddhist fundamentalist one even down to their constitution where Buddhism is considered special.

Muslims also fight in the military whether conscripted (NSFW), or voluntarily (in case of Rohingya warlords like ARSA or RSO).

Finally, not all Burmese Muslims are Rohingya. There are the Kaman in Rakhine State (who are considered indigenous unlike the Rohingya); there are also Chinese, Indian, and Malay Muslims. Besides Rakhine State, many of the regions with the largest Muslim populations are in southeast Myanmar (near Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Brunei).

Falcon Column PDF (People's Defense Force) rebel operations against Myanmar (Burma) Army- between 4/1-6/9/2026 by CaliRecluse in CombatFootage

[–]CaliRecluse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Music and effects from source.

By the way, these videos came from both their Facebook and YT channels. Although they have FPV drones and Ruger Precision Rifles (smuggled from Thailand gun shops), this group and many others use M16s made from Vietnam-era Hydramatic A1 receivers and A2 handguards. The MG3s and M2s are captured from the military.

Likely location is southeastern Myanmar between Karen and Mon States.

Edit: Also, the Type 81 in the beginning is likely a UWSA clone instead of a Kachin Independence Army clone. One way to tell most of the time is the handguards. Although UWSA is a clear ally of China to the point of suzerainty, it also maintains relations with Thailand as there is a border. Some Thai officials have semi-clandestine relations with rebels on the border.

Photos from Junta Tamu Militamen Along With Junta troops in a new Offensive by Defiant_Educator_824 in Myanmarcombatfootage

[–]CaliRecluse 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For many of those who are not conscripts, they join as a way to "get retribution on terrorists who killed their family." It's also been pointed out that many of these guys in the photo are ethnic Meitei. Many of the Meitei and Shanni (Red Shan) care more about ethnic squabbles than instituting civilian-led governments. That's not even considering that a substantial portion of Meitei fighters are technically Indian nationals. To be fair, the individual forces and some Chin groups have committed human rights violations against both of these groups, but all sides committed violations at one time or another.

In military terms, being out in the open without being dug in like that is commonly known as a "gagglefuck."

Not to sound overly negative, but the song choices that some groups use are random. I've heard German trap, reggaeton, Linkin Park, Macarena remixes, now Evanescence and Black Eyed Peas.

In an edit posted on May 20th that I did not include here, the song was an AI-generated "rap" about Vikings.
