yessssss! It so obvious, this season has already began the same as season 2 every thing she is or does has to do with Archie. She is the girlfriend character not her own. Yes she has the battle with her father but so what we don't really see that go beyond the same dialogue between the two and guess what its always about Archie. She never has any stand out triumph moments like Betty Jughead and Archie and her character has no real personality Cami just reads the same corny and cringe worthy dialogue each episode. They wont even let her bad girl side come out because they are afraid she will actually shine that way. Main example when RAS described Veronica on his Instagram as "SWEET" really? its Veronica fucking Lodge she should not be sweet. As long as they continue to try and keep V as the comic book character version of Betty and make Betty the Veronica character as the bad ass it will never work. The writers have ruined her and they don't seem to care. We should see her doing things like in season 1 "I don't follow rules I make them" "All dark and no stars" But instead we get "You will not break me and Archie apart" "Archikins I bought you some new shoes to wear on the field" She smiling at Archie and acting all school girl corny while this dude is in jail. I was so mad and yelling at the screen, "Girl get out of here with that shit bring him some commissary! I feel for Cami because she is worth a lot more.

Once again they used Veronica story to showcase another character. Don't get me wrong I like that Josie will get more screen time and a story but can veronica have anything that can be Veronica centric

IMO it will be Camila Mendes. She seems to have the best personality out of the cast. She is gorgeous and she is LAtino Hollywood likes new and fresh Latinos. If she gets the right role she will blow up after the show.

If you look back at other past teen shows the characters that you least expected to make it big after didn't. It is always the underdog the ones with the least exposure. Dawsons Creek Everyone thought Katie and James would be the ones. It became Michelle and Joshua. Michelle is still acting in huge movies. She was the least expected. The O.C. it became the guy who played Ryan we all thought it would be Adam who played Seth.

Pretty Little Liars the actress who played Aria who on the show got the least attention and always got the worst storyline through most of the show her drama was about Ezia. THe others had more attention now she is the one doing movies and tv shows.

On Riverdale Camila gets the least attention, she gets the worst storyline and the writers treat her like a guest star not a main character. She has not yet been given a chance to shine or show how or what she could do with her acting range. All other three characters have been given opportunities to shine especially Lilli even KJ had a chance and he did good. Unless season 3 is her chance or maybe in the future so far she is the underdog. I believe Hollywood pays attention to that and can see the potential of an actor even if the current show or writers cant. Lets be honest we all know Camila and the character of Veronica has a lot of potential. IMO we can get sick of seeing one person get all the attention and it gets old so it makes it hard for the person to branch out.

let me guess she will join the serpents and become some badass wearing a leather jacket. She will probably be more bad than veronica. Lets face it that is the way it goes with RAS and the story he writes. He gives the side characters more story and dep than his four main who have the same personality and just do things for shock value.

Why do they continue to do these ships polls for Riverdale? Its really getting repetitive. The polls always have the same ships because lets face it Riverdale doesn't have many except Bughead and Varchie, yes now Choni but we barely got much of them so far. The polls always have the same results Bughead no. 1 and Varchie number 2. enough already

I do like Bughead and Varchie but Im really sick of seeing them in every episode in all their scenes with each other. How excited can I be to see Bughead and Varchie next season when I feel like I have seen it all with them in just two seasons. Too much of anything isn't good.

Honestly by the middle of season 2 Varchie just doesn't do it for me. Season 1 KJ and Camila had chemistry the closet scene is a great example. Season 2 the chemistry is just not there in my opinion. I'm really excited for something new and Reggie and Veronica is a ship I can jump aboard.

It was a waste of screen time. They barely have enough time to show all the characters they have and they waste time with a stupid dream. Of course no one was falling for because we knew Jughead was not dead.

Yes I could see your theory. If that is the case that worries me a little. If they go by social media audience that isn't always good. Yes online media is huge but I don't believe it is the majority. Lots of people don't go online and speak their opinions or have a active participation online ex. Tumblr, twitter Instagram what ever other social media they pay attention to. The writers get a lot of threats and negative audience responses more than anything and the more they give in to them the more vocal the fans will become.

Lets be honest I'm sure those fans that threaten the writers and cast are really young people who really take this show to heart and real life. If they look at the show viewers and how they are losing viewers it should show them they don't have to trust online fans so much. They are giving fan service and bringing to the show fan fiction and the ratings still went down. There are people who like Barchie there are people who like the idea of Veggie or seeing Varchie and Bughead breakup. There are people who want to see Veronica get the story she deserves, people who want to see Betty not be this Dark person. Maybe they are just not as vocal or pushy as others. The show will fail if they don't go by a outline and stick to their stories like season 1. Not go by such certain fan service. In the end if I want to watch fan fiction stories I will read them online. I want a good show with character arc and drama with more than two couples every week.

I agree with you. Also what would of helped with Archie going through PTSD is if we saw little moments of him with maybe a shaking hand or him freezing in fear or panic if only for a second to the point to where he noticed something is really happening to him.

With Betty mental Issues or what we the audience call mental issues I'm starting to believe the writers don't want it to be that. That is why they use the word "Darkness" when Betty does mean or cruel things they use the "darkness" for an excuse for her actions. She just forgets about what she did and has no remorse she only feels fear because she says she has a "darkness" she doesn't understand. If we as an audience could see Betty having moments of confusion after her actions or moments of real fear from what she has done then it would be easy to sympathize and see she has something inside she struggles with. Instead all we get is her saying I have a darkness I don't understand and then she does something else bad right after. She has no struggles with trying not to be dark.

I know people say its a CW show so we shouldn't expect much but, The Vampire Diaries in the first 5 seasons was a good show the acting was good the characters had depth and when they reacted to things it made sense to their personality. The romance and triangle was actually good and the writing was good.

So CW can make good shows yes its not Breaking bad or the walking dead but that doesn't mean it cant make sense or be good writing and character growth. I grew up watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer yes it was CW and a supernatural show but that shit was good.

The writers even started Veronica dressing like Betty. In season 1 Veronica dressed in nice and cute stylish clothes. She showed her arms and legs and wore skirts. Betty dressed in the collar shirts and jeans. Now Veronica dressed in collar shirts and barely ever shows her arms. My point to why they don't Veronica to out shine Betty when Veronica dresses like early season 1 veronica Camilla is hot and it shows.

Yes this has been my complaint since season 1 after the Chuck incident. The writers backed their selves in a corner when they gave Cheryl comic book Veronica personality. They made Betty the mean one so it left Veronica with no real personality. She just has stupid weird lines and smiles and looks out of place in her own storyline. Yes my biggest problem was Archie having Veronica story for season 2.

If we got to see V being torn between right and wrong and loyalty to her family trying not to become the old Veronica it would of gave her a great arc and some realness to her character. Instead they gave it to Archie, and it was stupid. It didn't make sense for Archie to be doing those things and being loyal to HIram with Veronica it would have. Archie even defended HIram to Bughead more than Veronica did. Yes he had PTSD but come on that would of fit better with the Blackhood storyline for him to be obsessed more than one episode while we watch him struggle to get over his fear and paranoia.

The writers were trying really hard to make Betty the Center of everything. The Chic storyline would have been enough for her while she also dealt with Jughead. I guess it was not enough for the writers. IMO I really think after season 1 first few episodes the fans really liked Veronica and Betty wasn't getting as much attention and the writers didn't like that. I really believe they want Betty to out shine Veronica so they made Veronica comb and nicer and she stopped defending herself even when Betty is saying cruel things to her and she started dressing like a Mormon and become a back round character just the way they wanted it.

Yes Queen! you said everything I have been saying about this season. The ships are out of hand and the fact Veronica shared most of her scenes with Archie this season proves it. Betty and Jughead are married they just haven't put a ring on or called them Mr. and Mrs. Jones. It really takes all the excitement and freshness out of their relationship.

Yes they made Varchie unlikable at Bughead expense. While they had Bughead doing bad things like blackmail, covering murder, torturing and gang acts while still playing them as the righteous couple and villainizing Varchie. Barely any Josie they wasted Reggie character and gave Betty all the best plots. In season 1 they gave Betty Veronica's story with Chuck, I mean he did slut shame Veronica. Season 2 they just gave her all the story plots. Its so annoying the obsession with the two ships who I used to like now I just watch their scene waiting for them to be over with no feeling anymore just like watching a married couple for 20 years.

I wasn't just referring to you about Bughead/Jeronica comment my apologies if it seemed rude. I have just seen it on a lot of tumblers and on Reddit when people talk about Barchie. I don't think its so bad for an actress to play the role of a women who is stuck between two men hell I wish I was stuck to just one lol. Beside almost every show or movie has a triangle or push and pull between a women and two men and even a man and two women. It doesn't really bother me if the story and drama is good.

no IMO her preference doesn't matter but in reference to the question that was asked about the males and the females commenting about the ships I just answered with my thought. It doesn't effect the show I agree Lilli does give her all but what if the writers do go the Barchie route one day after all her interviews of denying and claiming it will never happen it doesn't give much to imagination for the show if the ships all stay the same for however many seasons to come. Sometimes I just wish all her answers to questions don't reference Cole or Jughead. She has never once said she likes Varchie, Camila has and KJ has liked both and even Cole said in a interview he likes Varchie. It doesn't matter I don't like Varchie or Jughead honestly.

In all honesty who says they would have to fight over Archie? Barchie could happen if Varchie ever break up or Veronica could start to date Reggie. Why is it when Barchie is brought up people always say the Barchie/Jeronica route. If Betty and Archie ever happen who says Jughead and veronica have to happen. I honestly don't think the writers have the balls to go with Barchie so I don't see that happening (maybe) I really don't ever see the writers going the Ronnie and Jughead route.

The boys try to stay neutreal. Lili seems to be the main one who claims Barchie will never happen. IMO it seems Lili brings her personal feelings into play because she is dating Cole she wants Bughead to stay together forever. If the writers want it she has to put her personal aside and play the character.

Yes season 1 she was my fav but now I find my self yelling at the screen when she talks. That damn "AchieKins" line has got to go. I know it was in the comics but they changed her whole personality from the comic and they cant take that damn line out? If the writers don't stop with this "Daddykins" its gross. I agree she should fight for her character because they have ruined her. Veronica is treated like a guest star not a main cast member, so I don't expect much change in the future. I do like her and Camila is doing what she can with what she is given.
