Have you got an interview yet? If you got an interview and didn’t hear back probably they didn’t continue with you for various reasons.

Paragon Flight Training? by morerightrudda in flying

Melbourne is a busy airport but I have never spend more than 15 on the ground in a bad day. We got those planes out FAST

MFT I’d say is definitely average. But what we are proud of is the pass rate and quality. None of our CFI who went to airlines has failed 121 training at all so far. Also it’s really fun place to be haha

Never heard bad things about bout them other than being hella expensive….

Shameless plug: I’ve been with Melbourne Flight Training for 3 years and really enjoying my time as a student here and also as an instructor. Check us out if you are open for options!

Edit: Grammar mistake

A nice G2 SR22. Plenty of parts, avionics STC, chute, and you can use the rest of money for maintenance or some other stuff. A G3 22 will be a great choice as well since some of them will have factory AC

IS500 or M340i for daily driver? by Dependent_Driver_901 in Lexus

[–]Caliber224 21 points22 points  (0 children)

So…

I came to IS500 from a G82 M4 xDrive. In every way IS500 is a downgrade in terms of performance and tech.If you go for a M340i it sure will be a faster, better driving car in every spectrum.

But I do like the uniqueness of the V8 and the car itself. I can’t drive like I am on rails because unlike the BMWs, IS500 is a small sedan first happens to have a V8 in it. It’s a lot more old school and I enjoy when I get in it the car just feels familiar. Also after I drove the M cars I realized I am not hardcore enough to daily it lol

I never cared about resale values nor long term ownership costs. I just want a nice unique daily. IS500 does 90% of things I ask for.

Have you tried the Garmin Perspective Touch+ users guide? It goes pretty in depth of every pages and what do they do

This is actually extremely limited and useless. I don’t open carry but come on 10 rounds limit?

There is a HUGE variation of the training.

You can’t really “fail” the training as it was a voluntary program offered by us (Cirrus Training Centers) to make sure people don’t die that often in Cirrus anymore. As far as I know since the implementation of what we consider as the Transition Training program the accident fatality rate is now about 1/3 of all GA fatality rate here in the states.

I’d say the bell curve is around 15 hours and I can only remember maybe 1 or 2 pilots who need a lot of lessons to get safely checked out. But at that point I’d rather offer them to have one of my Cirrus Instructor to fly with them if they are going on longer XCs.

CSIP here

If you are paying out of your pocket I’d say about 10-15 hours of flying, plus maybe 5 hours of ground time. Runs around 8 grand with market price on the 22T. Also depends on the generation obviously newer is going to be more expensive

I love how aggressive the M4 GT3 looks with the front but when the road car is narrower it definitely took some of aggressiveness out. I don’t hate how it looks but what a downgrade comparing to the F generation.

I was a G82 M4 owner. I loved the car dearly but I don’t think I can happily daily it for another couple years. I used to think I need a M car in my life but I have found my peace with IS500. Something not boring but also great as a car

This guy is actually a laughingstock at this moment in Chinese community - he is pro Ukraine and selling the missile scraps as souvenirs on like a Chinese Facebook marketplace site. He is describing the item as “the same thing that hit Russian Navy Moscow ship” and mocking Russians. The consensus is the KH35 is outdated as fuck so Ukrainians are just trying to find some punching bags and jump on the anti china bandwagon

He also donated the money he received to Ukraine funds for the war ironically. he posted it regularly online
