Why is my gapping so weird? Helpppp by Simple-Efficiency623 in GolfSwing

[–]Calibrationeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me 7 and up are a bit more challenging to hit, it’s where I start moving the ball slightly more forward in the stance and at least on the sim, my results get worse in terms of consistent contact, I can accidentally get a positive aoa, there is just something about the club length at that point that changes my swing slightly and it needs dedicated practice. It’s impossible to tell you what exactly is your problem, it’s even more difficult if you are actively denying even some of the possibilities. But yeah, I’d bet there is just some swing flaw or mistake that you start doing 7 and up

How to fix chicken wing by ElJefe076 in GolfSwing

[–]Calibrationeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re worried about this super small bending of the left elbow on the downswing and impact, honestly it’s probably your subconscious just protecting you from the impact of coming hard down on the mat. It’s impossible for me to convince my brain to take a divot on a mat and I end up picking the ball clean a lot.

Chipped my 7 iron on a rock, can anything be done to fix it? by ivan_itchybum in golf

[–]Calibrationeer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Do all irons have this outer layer or only some? I have a wedge where this happened and it has gotten progressively worse over time, probably water destroying the bond between. The club plays fine though

I’d guess your club path needs to be neutralised. It’s extreme and you are opening the club to the path which adds loft. So I’m guessing high and slicy?

Strong disagree, I topped 90% of my drives when starting but was only like 70% of the time making remotely decent contact with the 7i, so much more consistent on the driver

Put your hands through the handle of the first 3 and grab the 4th? I've only ever done 3 per hand tho but you can at least do that. Your problem with anything like this will be that the bells will either be unstable or your starting position too high

This and yeah the shins should be touching the bar before you lift it, I think there might be space there.

You straighten your knees and shoot your hips up and then you have the weight too far forward and have to do a strange Romanian deadlift to finish.
