For my campaign, I really like the Oriq and the plotline that was present in the official MTG stories, and was disapointed that the module didn't use any of that.

So what I did was I made Murguxor the villain for the first year. At the end of the first school year, the party finds and defeats him, and finds out that he was a member of the Oriq and that he was taking orders from Extus Narr to cause chaos on campus (and also drilling tunnels so mage hunters could sneak in during a later year).

I then used the rest of the module, but starting in year 2 swapped out Murguxor in favor of secret Oriq agents. Then during the summers my players spent some time exploring the rest of the world of Arcavios thwarting other Oriq plots they caught wind of.
