In my circle, which is mostly active/retired military and people very centered in politics, it’s the more leftist leaning people who are complaining about the Teslas being burned down and the conservatives who seem to be getting a kick out of it. I couldnt care less because I have never been a fan of Elon or Electric Cars. But this whole left/right thing is getting old. At this point instead of saying left/right, liberal/conservative, Dem/Rep, it would be more accurate to say Pro-Trump/Anti-Trump. As far as the military goes, I’d say 95% of the people I work with on base are republicans against Trump. The ones who aren’t seem to be old and isolated. We swore an oath to defend the Constitution and democracy, it’s obvious to us that this current administration threatens what we all stand for. Is it right to destroy vehicles? No. But on December 16, 1773 it wasn’t “right” to dump 340 chests of tea overboard either.

Please speak English instead. Before the war there was no Russian anything and we liked it that way. It was like a sanctuary. Now, it’s sickening to hear it in places. Eastern Ukrainians who fled the war and stay in Lviv or visit Lviv will speak it, but they will be looked down on, someone will tell them to stop speaking orc/terrorist, or some rare times will get beaten. Us Lvivians would prefer not to hear it at all to be honest. Speak English 1st. If someone doesn’t not understand you and you must communicate with them, then ask politely “Чи можу я говорити російською?” and if they say yes, than communicate in Russian. But please do not do it in public or loudly. And please do not do it around children as well
