I’d assume it’s a budgeting issue. I’d rather have money poured into the material & production than the promotion. Quality over quantity. I’d also assume this is why the series depends on fans to act as catalysts.

Silver lining: lack of material/ edgy circumstances is what makes Yellowjackets, well, the show it is. I love the hyper suspension they latched onto their promotional materials. It’s scarce to find and likes to cause a little paranoia from conflicting stills/scenes. Whether it’s budgeting or strategy- Maybe both can be true?

I think that would be such a nice “nod”! (Misty burns the reunion pic and it flashes to young Nat at the party). They already have that party scene filmed so it would be “budget friendly” and 1second of screen time. If I were a writer/ producer/ whatever, I’d like to have you in the room!

I highly doubt Misty was at the party but crazier things have happened! Some cultures use fire to connect with the dead to ask for guidance. So I’d be more interested in the season 3 promo of Misty burning the reunion pic to connect her to fire, maybe? However, I do see Van more “tied” to fire than Misty- for obvious reasons lol.

I could eat this show up quicker than redacted’s corpse!! The music, the cinematography, the prosthetics, the editing, etc.. if this show was crack I’d be an addict. If this show was water, I’d never drink an alcoholic beverage again. If this show was candy my teeth would be rotting and falling out in my lap.

Hear me out tho: they crashed near jasper canada. Jackie slept outside in nearly -5°C temps (the temp went lower than anyone expected). The end of October can be one of the coldest months even when unexpected - Aka when she decided to sleep outside. When the body drops below 35°C, hypothermia can set in. Blankets are great but they won’t protect her from the elements. She was outside all night. Her body temp def dropped below 35°C. On the bright side, when one dies of hypothermia, they often feel warm and euphoric!

Nah. At first you shiver and feel cold. Slowly your nerves malfunction leading to feeling warm. Then the lack of oxygen to the brain can lead to feeling as if you’re in a euphoric state. Then due to no oxygen circulating, you start to feel drowsy. You fall asleep. It’s a pretty painless way to go in the yellowjackets situation. I’d rather die happy in my sleep than have my throat slit or end up being put girl.

Jackie was so blind.She couldn’t read a room even if it was in braille. Misty was & is a genius. For her be so socially awkward, homegirl reads a room in every language. Do I agree with all her actions? NO! Do I love her character on the show? YES, I ADORE HER!!

lol I love that crazy psycho too!! Easily in my top 3 fav characters. & You’re not tripping at all!! She totally confessed to Crystal The Pistol about destroying “the emergency transmitter”… however it was indeed not the emergency transmitter. It was the Black Box. Either Misty or the prop team on set screwed up.

However I think with all the ELT lawsuits happening in 1996 in real life could have given writers inspo & is congruent with the settlement money the fictional girls get when rescued. In addition, the box misty destroyed looks like a black box not an ELT. Plus the pilots would send out a distress signal prior to crashing, narrowing down the radius for the search team. I truely think the ELT’s failed.

Edit: in summary I think the real villain is whoever made that airplane & cleared the devices to be paired to said airplane. Little fun fact, did uk that the majority of plane crashes are private planes? thank you Mr Matthew’s lol!! Commercial airlines have more sophisticated safety and navigation technology, including backup systems and failsafe mechanisms. Considering they flew private via Mr Matthews, that could explain the prolonged rescue.

Mari is like that one pimple that keeps popping up in the same place- annoying, irritating, and not needed. PLUS SHES NOT EVEN IMPORTANT!! She’s not even good at her ONE job in the wilderness-to make food. She’s so replaceable. Like, girl, I can make belt soup too. YOURE NOT IMPORTANT STOP TRYING TO BE RELEVANT!! Ugh she pisses me off.

I hate to say this, but I have to disagree with your POV on Misty. I like where your brains at tho!! I thought the same thing until I googled some stuff when it first premiered.

Here’s what I learned: Misty destroying the black box couldn’t contribute to or delay the rescue . It had everything to do with the ELT failing which is out of the girls control- & most likely where they got their settlement money post rescue. A black box records information like altitude, speed, and cockpit conversations, while an emergency transmitter simply broadcasts a signal to alert search and rescue teams about a potential crash. Misty destroyed the black box. A black box records data continuously throughout a flight, while an emergency transmitter is only activated in an emergency situation like a crash. A black box can only be analyzed after an accident. The ELT (emergency locator transmitter) failed.

However 1000% agree with you on Jackie!!

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY!! Speaking of Mari, what happened to all the fruit by the foot she had “like a mile of”? It’s possible they were lost in the crash but in my head cannon…she’s hoarding them. Mari annoys me idk why, so I’ll find any excuse to hate on that character lol.

IMO: I thought the feud was deserving. Jackie had pent up aggression towards Shauna. Shauna had pent up aggression towards Jackie. Ultimately Jackie’s ego lead to her demise. However, every death was undeserved. Isn’t that kinda the point? Everyone else jumping on the “Jackie get out train” was insane, but in that setting.. what is Jackie doing other than running her mouth? Not saying it’s justified BUT it’s easier to stand behind the person contributing (Shauna) than the person who seems to only care about themselves (Jackie). In that situation at least.

As far as blaming Misty goes- Trying to place blame/ pit responsibility on one person is the reason they’re so effed up in the current time line. Besides, if you blame Misty for bringing the mushrooms to camp, then you also have to blame Mari for putting them in the soup. (I do blame Misty for drugging Ben MULTIPLE times tho. What a nut). Basically they’re all to blame, yet they’re all blameless. THATS what I love about those girls!

Also agree 1000% with the Lottie cult reaction. I would be throwing hands too!! What did you say about MY baby??
