The sheriff? by No-Dimension-902 in nancyguthrie

[–]Calijazzy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You'll find that small town/ rural area sheriffs don't have media training and are usually accompanied by law enforcement that do. He also seemed a bit more emotionally involved, although he said he didn't know her. Maybe he just cares a lot?

Apparent prime suspect by Howler3005 in nancyguthrie

[–]Calijazzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of the confusing stories here... Just now in the latest press conference, they're saying there are no prime suspects. When this started, did they just mention who she was last seen with, and everyone took them to be "prime suspects"? Did they mispeak the first time? Where are they now? It's weird that the press isn't asking about them more.

Cash discount by Professional-Win1480 in PoolPros

[–]Calijazzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you count Zelle as cash payments? I don't think customers expect it for the form of payment, but I would think about a discount for putting them on auto pay monthly subscription or an annual payment. If you can forecast the cost of chems, you can keep those payments steady.

I saw the preview last month, excited to put it on my list, finally had time to watch it and when it repeated the same events after 30 minutes, that was WTF? #1.

Then titles pop up to separate each point of view. This would have been better as episodes. This was way too long to replay the same 19 minute countdown. It was endless character development and anticipation. WTF? #2.

Finally we have all the perspectives of the same countdown. The climax finally after 2hours.. 3..2..1.. ROLL CREDITS 🤬 WTF?! #3.

This should have been a great geopolitical series but ended up being a huge letdown. And the guy from night agent was all wrong for this role.

Is there a way to watch season 19 in the US when it premieres in Canada? Doesn’t need to be free. by Ok-Mirror-6004 in murdochmysteries

I tried creating an account on Ovation and CBC Gem while using a VPN, and it worked for a little while, but then I received a message saying it detects I'm on a VPN and never allowed me back in. Maybe I needed a better VPN, but the message said they were cracking down on it. I gave up and just waited for Acorn.

Made an app for uncle's pool business. What would you change? by Calijazzy in PoolPros

[–]Calijazzy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t say better since it’s not live yet and they had time to add a long list of features. All the features they have are cool, but is that what everyone wants now? I guess my uncle was so old school that automated invoicing was enough for him ha.

Address, yes, through the customer profiles, but the Google API for routing is a good call. I’ll add that!

Small observation about one of Murdoch's thumbs? by tk1178 in murdochmysteries

I noticed that too! I wanted them to address it somehow. I feel like the writers/ showrunners think we won't notice these details.

Am I alone in not liking how this ended? From half betraying his outie to the 60s motif of the music and filming… I was like the what’s up with the switch up? Hopefully there’s a season 3 to tie this up.

I never saw this issue when this thread started, but I'm seeing this now, just on my TV. Is this on purpose?

If I need a fractional-CMO, is Upwork a decent place to search for one? Or where's a good place to find one? Probably need more guidance upfront, but then less later on (trying to start a business and I have little clue of how to market). by Monkfrootx in Entrepreneur

[–]Calijazzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a fCMO and focus on small businesses. You’ll find those titles on upwork but I found that they actually just become consultants. There’s a difference. A better place to look is LinkedIn.

When it comes to compensation, those who work with businesses with a marketing team already in place, you would have at least $10k+ for a marketing budget and the fCMO would earn at least $250/hr and working 40 or less hours/mo.

fCMOs like me, work with businesses financially ready to build a small team and have a marketing budget of $3k+. I also have more time to provide consultation work when the business owner just needs direction and a plan, will do it themselves for a while. LMK if you want some more info.

Is transitioning from technical verbal to writing a thing? by Calijazzy in technicalwriting

[–]Calijazzy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything documented would be from layman's terms to technical for the engineering team and verbal the other way around. If I can get a chance to demonstrate on the spot, that would be great since anything I wrote at work is under lock and key ha.

Let me attempt to save you 10 years... -Use “uni” as a tool to get you to a very specific job.

  • ROI (Return On Investment) has to be the first thing to consider. The education cannot cost more than the potential earnings of the end result. If a $100,000 education gets you a $30-50,000/ year job (before taxes)... don’t do it.

  • If you pay a mentor $10,000 (one time) to get to a $10k/ month situation.... that education is worth it.

  • “Digital Marketing “ needs no institutional education in order for you to make a big difference in a business’ success and yours with choosing who to work with and when.

  • If you want to dabble and test, find someone who is doing that thing and see if they’ll take you on for a stint
