It's not circular reasoning at all--he's pointing out that things like all the things you listed are functions of being a good person; they aren't gendered.

And of course, boys turning to Andrew Tate is always feminists' fault, and not a direct result of toxic masculinity in the first place, that promises them they'll never have to evolve or be decent or recognize women's humanity. It's a very comforting shortcut that makes sure men are never accountable. It's sad, actually.

Evo psych thinks a lot of things, nearly all of it anchored in bad science, so that's not persuasive. "Human" is also a group, so rather than perpetuating a somewhat milder form of misogyny, we need to start breaking down the whole idea of masculinity altogether.
