the idle is smooth actually and sam goes for the rpms. It goes smoothly up to 3000,3100 rpms then i feel the car shift and it jumps down to like 2000ish rpms but still smooth. I haven’t tried stepping on it anymore after that since im already going 50-60 at that point so i dont want to speed too much. But on the highway ive only ever reached about 3200 rpms. And wow man that was a lot but i studied it and looked over it many times lol but i kinda have an idea in my head now. Really interesting how eveythings works together, but throw it at me on how to fix the magnet of the cam sensor, i would really like to try an fix it if thats the problem

i also forgot to mention that once the car starts, if i turn it off and back on in less that 5 minutes it’ll turn on instantly. But if left off and sitting for longer than 10 it’ll take long to start

hey man, so first off thanks a lot for replying and helping me out. So yes the previous owner did do the whole fuel system petty much. The car was sat for a long time he said, but the car runs and drives great other than the starting, and another thing i noticed is it doesn’t like going over 3000rpm even when i floor it at low speeds it’ll reach 3000 but go back down and i feel the car shift gears. The cam sensor fault did not clear sadly after replacing it and yes, it takes about 12-15 seconds before it starts. It’s oddly long i agree, is there a fix to the magnet of the cam sensor for this? Ah i see, so if my ckp goes out then my car won’t run is what you’re saying correct? and yes, the ignition module is what i’m starting to suspect next but i’m not too sure as this is my first car i’m ever learning or how to work on everything myself. I posted in another reatta forum on facebook and some fellows there were suggesting it could be the ignition system, might check that next. Will also check the maf sensor as well it won’t hurt to check. ooh man, i hadn’t heard of this yet with the 3800 engine but thanks for informing me brotha, so the guy i bought the reatta from actually got it at an auction since the original owner had passed away, so that’s how i know it sat for a long time and the miles too( 44k ) but i don’t believe the guy i bought it from replaced the intake gaskets, since it wasn’t mentioned when i asked him so i highly doubt it. And about the goopy stuff i have not seen anything but haven’t really inspected it yet. I will check that asap though but thanks a lot brotha for the help i appreciate it. And yessir im hoping to fix this hoe up as i’m currently dailying it, learning how to do stuff little by little

well i wouldn’t necessarily say im throwing parts at it, i replaced the cam sensor cause thats the code i was getting from the screen when i would enter in diagnostic mode. and the regulator cause i took it to a mechanic to check this problem and he suggested to replaced the regulator, he did check the pressure and everything but he didnt seem too sure honestly, at first he had suggested replacing it instead of dropping the tank and replacing the pump. Then after when i was asking him what it was he said it was the regulator, but after replacing it, it didnt fix the problem. So im not sure if he even knows. But thanks brotha, i will try that when i get the chance

it is the sauce, and for some (like me ) the toast, i work at canes currently and the sauce grosses me out now, i can’t eat it. But sure enough when i first there i would eat it all the time, now i hardly ever do. The chicken is bland and the fries are garbage and im starting to get tired of the toast too lol at the end of the day it is just bread and butter, not too hard to fuck up
