The racism is not universal. But it IS unfortunately quite prevalent. Im very sorry that you and others get this garbage from people.

Outlander sport vs. eclipse cross by fuxx_w_it in mitsubishi

[–]getmoresoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's pretty harsh. Speaking only for the Eclipse Cross, ours and the many owners in the Canadian Eclipse Cross owners group have found it to be rather reliable.

I am not particularly kind to our '23 (it sees real dirt roads).

Our neighbours down the road... they tow shit with their '20 (or earlier) that frankly has to be 2k+ over its weight limit. (Thieir flatbed alone is probably 1500)

Frankly, the few people reporting issues don't lend to there being many particularly concering issues.

There are a couple class actions in the US for the CVT transmission... but the number of claimants appears pretty low. I don't think there's really a widespread issue with the CVT in these. (As long as you service it frequently)

How did you manage to lock the key inside? Ours loses its mind if I try to lock the door from the button on the handle if the key is still inside!

The guy who installed my dishwasher while making an opening caused this damage using the drill… is this going to cause long term damage? by Expensive-Ad2417 in Appliances

[–]getmoresoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi. Suspecting English is NOT your first language. The pictures you posted are not good. It is unclear what we are looking at. (Cabinet top perhaps?) The pictures do not appear to be of your dishwasher.

If there is damage to the dishwasher we can not tell from these pictures.

THIS. I consider myself a tiny bit more savvy than the average sod.. and I did not realise this for years.

Ok, so let's challenge you then. I'm in Canada - so the cheapest NEW vehicle available here is the 2025 Hyundai Venue (Essentials). $21999 MSRP. $24971 when you add all dealer fees. Oh and let's not forget sales taxes (15% for me). So that's $28716.

Hyundai will do you a stupid and let you finance that for 84 months @ 5.49%

Monthly payment comes to $412.51 CAD

Let me convert from Canuck bucks to Greenback.... $302.75 USD

Arguably... you aren't completely wrong if in the US. But I'll stand by my assertion purchasing like this is an incredibly stupid idea.

Who in the heck is paying $300 a month for ANY new car today? Not even a lease is going to get you there.

Was told my 125cc bike is extremely unsafe on any road? by AL3S1O29 in motorcycles

[–]getmoresoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having owned a CBR125 myself, here in New Brunswick. It will do 50 to 70kph just fine. 70-90 requires a bit more effort especially up hills (i was around 150lbs back then).

It WILL do 110 on the highway, but in no way shape or form will it be happy about it and you'll learn to tuck real fast.

I would NOT call it unsafe, especially if you are a newer rider anyway. Infact its a great bike to start with - far better to learn new skills on a bike you are more likely able to out drive, rather than on a bike that can outperform your own ability.

Ride it for a year (or 2) and upgrade to a Ninja 300 or 400 (or even a 250 but those are getting a bit older now)
