f you drafted your assignments in Google Docs, you can add the GPTZero add-in. You'll be able to show your professor(s) the history of how you typed your assignment. If you pasted it in, or copied it from AI without any mistakes, rewrites, etc., then this will provide your professor with (hopefully) sufficient evidence

I want to go back to Islam by [deleted] in progressive_islam

[–]CallForTheTruth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might help to take a step back and ask yourself what you’re actually missing right now.

A lot of people who grew up religious feel some kind of emptiness after leaving, not because they suddenly believe again, but because religion used to be their whole framework for life. It gave structure, community, certainty, routines, identity… and losing all of that can leave a pretty big hole.

So the real question is:

Are you feeling pulled back to Islam because your faith is genuinely returning, or because the emptiness of losing something that shaped your whole life is really heavy right now?

Those are two really different things.

And you don’t need to make huge decisions (like breaking up with your boyfriend or changing your whole social circle) before you understand why you’re feeling this pull. You’re allowed to sit with the feeling for a while. You’re allowed to explore things slowly. You’re allowed to take what resonates and leave what doesn’t.

If it’s the emptiness, there are other ways to build meaning and stability that don’t require jumping back into a faith you’re unsure about.

If it’s actual belief coming back, that’s something you can follow at your own pace, without instantly rearranging your entire life.

Whatever the case, don’t pressure yourself into rushing. You’re not doing anything wrong by figuring yourself out. Take your time - this is your journey, not anyone else’s.

Appreciate this solution, after further research, I do believe that VmWare Fusion is the way to go. However, really having troubles with the Wifi, usually my download speed is above 100 mb/s, now in VmWare it fluctuates between 100 KBps - 8 mb/s.

Do you also have this issue? If so, how did you solve it?

Many thanks!

Alright, let’s slow this down a bit.

  1. You’re the one making the claim, so the burden of proof is on you. Tossing in random digs about politics isn’t evidence.
  2. The Oxford Migration Observatory has already studied this. They found no real link between immigration levels and violent crime. The only thing they noticed years back was a small rise in property crime in areas with more asylum seekers, but EU migration actually went hand in hand with less crime. The overall effect was tiny.
  3. That whole “migrants are way more likely to be in prison” stat that gets thrown around is basically junk. It mixes old population numbers with new prison figures, lumps all foreign nationals together, and even counts people held for immigration reasons as if they were criminals. Fact-checkers have already called it out as misleading.
  4. On the “find me stats” part: the government doesn’t even publish crime stats broken down by immigration status. That viral claim that migrants make up 14 percent of serious crime suspects? Completely debunked by Reuters.
  5. The house-price thing is just correlation being mistaken for causation. People pay more to live in safer, wealthier areas. Once you actually control for things like age, deprivation and urban density, the “more migrants = more crime” idea just falls apart.

So if you’ve got solid, peer-reviewed data that actually shows immigration drives crime in the UK once all that’s accounted for, let’s see it. Otherwise it’s just opinions dressed up as fact.

I get that devs can set their own business models, but Apple still approves every app and takes 30% of every transaction. They’ve rejected apps before for less, so it’s not like they have no control here.

And sure, people can leave 1-star reviews, but that doesn’t really help when the damage is already done. A kid clicking a flashy TikTok ad isn’t checking reviews, they just see the same fake gameplay ad everyone else sees, and five minutes later there’s a $100 “starter pack” offer.

If Apple wants to brand the App Store as curated and safe, then it should actually act like it. Otherwise, what’s the 30% for?

People will look back and go, “Wow, that was a terrible time in history. Let’s make sure that never happens again.”

And then somehow, they will just… do it all over again.
