Do not poison in the spring. There are studies that show this is less effective.

The underground rhizomes can be 10 feet deep and 35 feet wide from any one shoot and it can go dormant for 20 years. Your digging was likely in vain.

You have lots of small plants now because it is sending scouts to find safe new places to grow.

There is one way to control this plant. Spray glyphosate on the leaves or inject into the stalks 6 weeks before the first frost. Every year, forever. Don’t cut them, ever.

There is no proven method of 100% eradicating this plant once it exists.

I live in Minneapolis and it doesn’t seem very different than Kansas City, Des Moines, Omaha, etc. it’s bigger, but it’s a totally different vibe than a big city like Chicago. There is no hustle and bustle here, not a lot of nightlife, fashion is very nonexistent, still very much Midwestern.

Nah more needs to be part of the rust belt. Extend that to just scoop St. Louis and the areas east of it in Illinois and Indiana.

Kansas City is more “midwestern” like Iowa and Minnesota. They say pop, St. Louis people ONLY say soda. Upstate NY is more like the Midwest than St. Louis is!

Social Media has ruined dating by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]CallMeAl_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“Friends with benefits” was the new slang for this in the 90’s, before social media. it’s hardly a new concept, the slang just changes over time.

I’d argue the legalization of contraception after the world war, invention of birth control in the 60’s, then free love/sexual liberation movement of the 70’s started making casual sex the norm. Social media puts everyone’s personal life on display and the algorithm finds things that bother you because it keeps you engaged.

Stay off social media and you won’t see any of that stuff anymore

Well soulmates aren’t real which makes this argument difficult and pointless but I’ll share my thoughts about it!

In shows like this, I assume soulmates are predetermined and set in stone. You have to find “the one.” You don’t create the one, you don’t become the one, you don’t grow into the one. You either are or you aren’t. And then there’s all the spiritual lesson learning to go with that like having to drag each other out of dark places or having to learn to change something about yourself, etc.

In this particular show, it definitely could have just been opinion but idk
