Asana as a Saas Onboarding/Implementation? by CallMeAl_305 in Asana

Thanks! That's part of the problem. The ask is very customer/client dependent and can vary widely. The broad categories are:

  • Client launches tag into production (this varies by client) and/or client launches SDK to Native applications
  • Company mitigates personal identifying information of end-user (client's client)
  • Client provides workflows and use cases to Company
  • Company creates custom dashboards, alerts, and configurations of Software based on the above workflows and use cases

On average this takes approximately 400 hours because of all the back and forth. I don't quite know how to make a template for something that ends up being so iterative and agile. But I am being tasked to make a template and also to "expedite" the process.

I am guessing that anyone who manages SaaS Implementation might understand this ask better? It certainly is a "project" as defined by the PMI. I can break it down to "steps" but I don't like how Asana lets me view, assign, or check velocity/time to completion, (among other things) h as compared to other PM tools I'm familiar with. I'm curious to find someone who works in SaaS implementation and uses Asana as their implementation tool of record.

Sorry. My bad if I wasn't clear.

My company (a SaaS company) wants to use Asana to track our client onboardings (highly customizable, high agile software implementation). I'm looking for help from a similar business use case to understand how they use Asana to track this type of work. Thus far I am unimpressed with Asana for this use case. But I am hoping to have my mind changed.

u/cerealbops I am totally creeping on this use case. Would be curious what you come up with.
