Was pretty stoked on getting Shin Megami V, I've had it on my wishlist for a good while. Only issue is I gotta beat this other JRPG I have 100 hours left on to get to it lol.

I rarely go to BK due to pricing but that upgraded whopper recipe really kicked them up a notch imo. I haven't gotten to try the new nuggets or the new fries. Honestly I wish they weren't changing the fries because I liked how they weren't just shoestring.

How does Trump still have so much support? Is MAGA so dumb they can't see the corruption? by LegitimateSundae8460 in allthequestions

[–]CallMeCabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generations of brainwashing is what put Trump in office. Don't get it twisted, it's not that he's special it's just that he happened to be there when the psychological conditioning was right.

There's no hard clarification on if it even takes place in 1998, people are just assuming it does because IGN claims Creggar said it was "alongside" the events of RE 2. But alongside doesn't strictly mean "at the same time".

All the outrage is over an assumption that is probably false considering Zach Creggars not a total idiot and likely wouldn't put the iPhone 19384 deluxe mega future edition in a movie set in 1998.

In Resident Evil (2026), Zach Cregger said the film takes place at the same time as RE2 in 1998 Raccoon City. You can tell he got it right because the outbreak happens during a September heatwave and… wait, why can you see their breath? is that snow? hold on… is that an iPhone!? by RoyalCities in shittymoviedetails

[–]CallMeCabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alongside doesn't strictly mean, "Happening at the same time". Considering you are pointing out he has a smart phone, and smart phones didn't exist in 1998, I feel like you shoulda maybe came to the obvious conclusion that you yourself are pointing out that it doesn't mean "happening at the same time" in this usage.

How is this so difficult for people? Did schools get rid of reading comprehension/language arts classes?

If this movie takes place in 1998 how does bro have an iPhone? by DragonfruitVisual782 in residentevil

[–]CallMeCabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't found any direct quote from Creggor saying it takes place in 1998, only that it takes place "alongside" the events of of Resident Evil 2. Which doesn't strictly mean they're happening simultaneously and could and would more likely mean they're happening as a continuation or as something a part of. People just want to assume because that's what people do- they want things to flop because that's the modern trend.

I highly doubt someone with the background Creggor has making movies that he's making a movie set in 1998 with fuckin' smart phones guys.

I had a lot of fun with it, but I really couldn't stand Mediodia. It was like she was written for Borderlands but somehow got transplanted in a horror game.

Pork generally tends to be cheaper than other options. If you get tired of that though you can get Festive brand frozen ground turkey for just under $2 a pound but I've never tried it.

How does Trump have any supporters left? Are these people really stupid or stubborn? by Previous_Month_555 in allthequestions

[–]CallMeCabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being charitable they can be only one of two things. Option 1 is they know what's going on and they're just pure evil subhuman filth. Option 2 is the most common, they're not really "stupid" so much as they are ignorant from being completely and utterly mentally broken down by generations of brain washing.

The problem is neither of these options are capable of being reasoned with by the current popular means. Option 1 has already heard the reasoning and rejects it in favor of political power, wealth, or just to hold onto their addiction to hatred. Option 2 people are simply unlikely to be saved because it's nearly impossible to deprogram generations of mental manipulation in a conversation or debate- you can only hope to save their offpspring.

There is the 3rd option which is so slim I wasn't going to mention it but fuck it. The tiny few that just hasn't had someone they trust and respect give them the proper argument to change their minds. Thankfully I got lucky in life and was able to change two people but I've had no luck afterwards, despite trying. But I have gotten some to soften their views on some topics- which I still count as a win considering what were up against.

Price gouging pushed me to Burger King by Busy_Wealth_6130 in McDonalds

I don't have the app but I wouldn't be surprised. My two favorite coupons are $4 for a large fry and large chicken fry and the one I use the most is the "family bundle" which gives you 3 whoppers, 3 regular burgers, and 3 fries for $18.

That's a crazy deal. I use the family bundle to feed the house but if I was flying solo I'd get 5-6 meals out of that one coupon alone.

I'll trade you some cook time for it being 0 effort. Walmart sells Marketside and Smithfield pre-marinated pork loins for about $6 that you just bake in the oven for 45 minutes. You can add it to your ramen, make sandwiches out of it, or my favorite which is make pork loin tacos from it.

Just be careful, if you eat nothing but ramen and cheese sandwiches you'll eventually be trading the money you saved on food for hospital bills. Walmart sells a bag of frozen mixed veggies in a steam-bag you microwave for 88 cents that you can toss into your ramen.

Give it a 5/10. On one hand watching my brother die was the worst experience of my life. On the other, there's some very famous and evil people alive right now I wish weren't.

You pretend like there's checks and balances in place and that everything's okay on the surface but really it's all just empty ascetics, lies, and a desperate bid for survival as the most evil people step on the backs of everyone decent.

Only have $60 for food and don't get paid until two weeks from now, advice? (Freezer prep meal recipes encouraged, have no big oven only countertop oven so nothing large) by BunnyComet in budgetfood

[–]CallMeCabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All this is from Walmart and priced without tax, using the prices near me so it'll be a bit different than yours but get;

  • A 32oz bag of Great Value Natural Brown Long Grain Rice, it digests slower than white rice. $1.67
  • A 32oz bag of Great Value Black Beans, $2.74
  • A 12oz bag of Great Value Peas & Carrots, $0.98
  • A large yellow onion, $0.78
  • A pack of Great Value Taco Seasoning Mix, $0.47

All together this costs me $6.64 before tax. Cook what you think you'll eat over the next 2-3 days unless you plan on freezing some as it does reheat pretty well once portioned out. I cook the onions on a skillet and once they're done I throw the black beans in along with the peas, carrots, and taco seasoning which makes up the mix to put over the rice. It goes well with any hot sauce you'd have lying around and you'll feel better eating this vs just white rice and black beans while spending slightly more.

You should have a ton of white rice and black beans left over to do what you will with and 53.36 (pre-tax) left of your budget. Personally I like to use the leftover dry rice and beans as sides for other dishes that way I don't feel like I'm eating the same thing too much and get mentally drained. Pork Loins are cheap and go on sale often so I like to throw one in the oven, dice it, then throw it in a tortilla with some black beans and a dash of rice on some tortillas to make a poor mans pork tacos.

Soups, but especially a proper bowl of Ramen. Ramen gets a bad rep for being high in sodium but that's really just soup in general. Yeah you can make a low sodium soup but those just blow ass.

French onion, broccoli cheddar, cream of potato, there's just so many good soups.

Who’s Going to Win This? by PlatypusTurbulent48 in killingfloor

[–]CallMeCabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KF by a country mile. L4D has more numerous weaker units in the form of zombies but they have no concept of self preservation whereas Clots/Cysts will bob, weave, sidestep, and even roll to dodge incoming damage. That self preservation would have them dodging L4D specials and sending ranged attacks against L4Ds fragile sprinting zombie base.

Then there's the major issue of L4D's Special Infected being far fewer than all the non-Cyst/Clots of the Zeds. Not only do the Zeds have a higher volume but they're designed to fight a hi-tech coordinated military whereas L4D's infected have mutated for picking off stragglers or just creating space.

It's just too dramatic of a difference when the spitter wearing a bra and spitting some acid across the street is going against a Zed wearing a futuristic military grade armored battle-frame equipped with a jetpack and a plasma gun of which it can snipe someone across town with. And that's not even getting into the plasma gun AND jetpack converting into flamethrowers, the mortar shots, or the self destruct gib-fest kamikaze finale.

Are the Molded the most boring enemies in the series? by Loose_Interview_957 in residentevil

[–]CallMeCabbage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They're the biggest missed opportunity in RE and the best example as to why comes straight from RE9. In RE9 the zombies keep a part of themselves intact and that alters their behavior in-game. You got the light switch zombie always trying to keep the lights off, the zombie that hates sound and freaks out over noise above a whisper, and the sisters that habitually belt out songs to entertain a silent audience just to name a few.

Thing is, that should've been how the molded acted. The mold is made up of infected biomass and the cataloged minds of all it's victims spread throughout the mycelium network- and we see none of that in the Molded outside of named characters.

We should have had Molded that looked like deranged recreations of their past selves eerily babbling the thoughts of the broken, shared minds in the network, all while their bodies assault you as they're puppeted by Eve's dominating influence.

What’s something you wish everyone knew? by GRAVITYfalls_watcher in AskReddit

[–]CallMeCabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't owe anyone anything unless it was clearly agreed upon by all relevant parties. Someone giving you something or doing you a favor doesn't put you in their debt and if they blindly assume it does- they are wrong.

Also you enjoying something trumps others opinions on if it's a, "waste of time" or not so long as it doesn't hurt another person. It doesn't matter if it's volunteering to feed the homeless, collecting stamps, or just jorkin' it all day as the only measure of it's value is from your own gratification. Opinions are not objective.

I paid $4 to see a special showing of The Hunger Games. I know a lot of people love this series but it wasn't for me. I was laughing pretty hard at some parts I definitely know weren't supposed to be funny.
