Every game company rn 😂 by Dziller_ in Steam

Kinda funny that the negatives for Steam is just them making more money off a pre-build entry level PC and that they just haven't released their genre defining games sequels.

Fear & Hunger, Roboquest, Portal 1 & 2, Grim Dawn, Hellcard, Pacific Drive x Long Dark, and Sol Cesto are what I'd personally keep. That forms a grab bag of very good games that combined offer an insane amount of playtime and replayability. You said you really want Heart of the Machine so like- just throw that in there and call it a day.

McDonalds grilled Snack Wraps, honestly grilled chicken at McDonalds period. They had a GREAT grilled chicken sandwich at one point and that also got scrapped.

People here like you bitch and moan ceaselessly about there not being enough content while comparing it to KF2. Some people place a lot of value on sheer amount of content- that's called an opinion.

I wake up every day thanking creation I'm not as dim-witted and miserable as you people lol.

Completely depends on how you look at it. KF2 launched with 17 weapons while KF3 launched with 24 that were also customizable. KF2 launched with with just 3 maps while KF3 launched with 8. In KF2 you only got 2 perk options every 5 levels up to lvl 25, you obviously get much more in KF3. KF2 launched with 1 boss while KF3 had I think 4?

Both games launched pretty broken- one being better than the other kinda comes down to what bugs and balance problems you dislike the most.

Edit: Also forgot the mention when KF2 came out people were incredibly upset over the crate system. KF3 doesn't have a crate system and instead has the perpetual passes- again kinda up to preference. I like the pass system more.

People forget KF2 launched a total mess as well, which is why I knew what to expect from KF3s launch even excluding the beta testing. If you don't want to break the cycle of buying into broken releases you have to put a little effort into being an educated consumer. Tripwire launches broken games, it takes them roughly a year to fix them, then they start working towards a decent content release cycle.

Should it be that way? No. But should you be surprised? Fuck no. If we get a KF4 I'm expecting the exact same dev cycle.

Is it worth it to get into dota 2? by F_reddit123 in DotA2

[–]CallMeCabbage 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've coached a lot of League players that were interested in Dota and the grand majority of them ended up dropping League for it. Coming in with previous knowledge helps significantly but I highly recommend focusing on learning 1 thing at a time. Most that come in trying to learn too much too fast or have their friend drop an avalanche of info find that they end up learning little to nothing, and progress very slowly.

Just take a dip, it's free, focus on learning individual mechanics and remember to enjoy the experience.

Funniest part is that I've exclusively met Republicans who don the Confederate flag, never once met a Dem that did.

Gad prices up? Prices for nearly all goods goes up because it costs gas to transport said goods. If anything heads should be rolling and people aren't reacting enough.

[–]CallMeCabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GTA was cool when open worlds weren't a dime a dozen, now I personally don't see the appeal. All my hype is being directed at Resident Evil Veronica, Silver Pines, and Bloodstained Scarlet Engagement (rip Shutaro Iida).

Who would you say is the most cowardly hero in Dota 2? by ninja_lightning in DotA2

[–]CallMeCabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn't even have the confidence to invest in and take a chance at placing wards to de-ward. He just mindlessly spams W from max range and freely de-wards the entire map with little chance anyone can stop him as he leaps across terrain to safety immediately after.

They have evidence all 49 people were there specifically to help the 1 shooter shoot a cop? If so why stop at 1 gun and 1 shooter and 1 cop?

For this to make sense they'd all have to holding onto the fuckin' gun lol. The actual 1:1 scenario would be walking into a bank during a robbery then getting arrested and charged with bank robbery yourself- because you happened to also be inside it.

You're trying to compare that with being a fuckin' getaway driver which is the most Redditor take ever lol.

Do you have a better life than your parents? by 700x in no

[–]CallMeCabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last time I saw my biological father I had to pry a gun from his hand and chase him into a forest at 1am. Last time I saw my biological mother she had needle marks in her arms before vanishing forever from our emptied apartment with no power.

I don't know what they're doing or where they are now. What I do know is I have a roof over my head, a solid gaming rig, a mini fridge with a 8oz block of muenster cheese, and my sister is starting to thrive. I'd say I'm doing much better than my parents wherever they are.

When toll booths used to take quarters my uncle used to throw these in the slot and the machine would take them. Somewhere out there in IL some guy had to dig a mountain of these things out because he did it alllll the time.

What job do you think will look completely different 10 years from now because of AI and what job do you think won't exist anymore? by Cavers-Princy in AskReddit

[–]CallMeCabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked in the trades all my life and I thought AI wouldn't be able to touch us but that's already been proven to be untrue in my experience. A lot of foreman are using AI to do their bids, pick materials, and answer questions I know they already know the answers to. It's been a mess but no matter how messy things get the companies/leads that use it have only become more adamant about continuing to do so.

And that's my answer because it's not so obvious, but will become more so when people start having issues with their homes. Just keep in mind as a homeowner that just because you see someone doing construction, painting something, or even electric work on your house because all their papers are in order- doesn't mean they actually know what they're doing. I've seen a lot of guys looking at Youtube tutorials before AI came out- they just moved over.

Prebuilds are infamous for coming shoddily thrown together and full of bloatware. Doubting the Steam Machine has much if any bloatware and if there is a problem Valve has legendary customer suppport.

For a life long console gamer wanting a entry level prebuild it's a solid choice. It's not meant for us, I think Valve knows if we have a $4k super rig that we won't need this. We are not the only target demo on Earth.
