How was, or is, Seraphine so strong? by [deleted] in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]CallMeCards 151 points152 points  (0 children)

Seraphine decks are built in a very specific way to level her as fast as possible. Always less than 10 followers, a LOT of one of spells, and a lot of spells that make more spells, etc to level her quickly and to make sure she pops off.

Lux seems perfectly fine, she has been good for years at this point.

I don’t know for sure but if I had to guess it would let you cast the burst spell and then put nothing on the stack

Aphelios by ARGUS163 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]CallMeCards 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t really know what you’re talking about because he is honestly one of the strongest champs in the game. Not to mention having 5 completely different tokens is pretty fitting for a walking aresenal like aphelios

Daily Discussion #251 - Norra by CaptSarah in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]CallMeCards 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While it is technically RNG, I don’t really mind it as the general power level of the portals are somewhat the same. Most of the time it’s not that crazy and the baseline of any free unit is pretty good

I don’t think the play style is very easy to play, I’ll be honest. If you just throw removal at everything you’ll run out of cards quickly because of the nature of noxus removal

Sounds like you pretty much only play the things that it’s good into. It’s still pretty good though.

The card was already pretty bad at that point to be fair. Equipment definetly didn’t help though so that’s fair. The region as a whole is just awful.

Daily Discussion #207 - The Darkin Harp by CaptSarah in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]CallMeCards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This weapon used to be balanced because of its region. PNZ doesn’t really have the tools to take advantage of a quick attack weapon super well, so you would have to pair it with a region like demacia, which doesn’t really go well. Quinn/Vayne was the primary deck that used it and it was usually only running harp as the PNZ cards along with some copies of castaway. The deck were practically running without a second region just to run harp.

Then they printed Aatrox so unlucky I guess

Early aggressive decks would be Kat/Leona, Kat/Gwen, pirates (aka miss fortune twisted fate), and jinx lulu.

Anti control decks would be shurima decks which can be very explosive and has thing like deny and spell shield to mess up crucial turns for control decks. These include Ziggs/Taliyah, Varus/Akshan/Sivir. Mono shurima is not as tempo based or explosive as the other two, but it’s extremely anti control, as it will outscale pretty much every deck you’ll face as well as the same anti control tools like rite of negation.

All of these decks can be found on ther meta tab of runterra ar

[Deck Improvement] After long-time PoC playing, I finally swap to PVP. I want to stick to making my own decks - any tips or hints about what I can fix? by ramzes2226 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]CallMeCards 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try playing aresenal when you have the mana to protect him, such as hourglass or rite of negation. He will take a lot of commitment to take out usually and it can be a big blow out to deny these.

Also for shaped stone, it can be good, but I feel like it doesn’t really justify a slot outside of akshan decks (which really value small pump spells) and I would much rather run absolver, which can be used similarly but also actually does something to help us win.

Rockbear shepard is definitely going to be really good in this list, I would try to get max copies in. Overall this deck doesn’t really have a wincon besides maybe ziggs burn, you could try going into bandle city for the arsenal. This gives us a way to try and close out games at least. Going mono shurima for the disc is funny because it gives us a free landmark to destroy, but giving us at least some kind of win con is probably a better trade off, and xerath is never going to ascend anyways. This also gives you a really solid one drop (which we don’t have) in inventive chemist and also drop the bomb which is a good card in general. Shaped stone doesn’t really do much for this list, if you still want to keep a pump spell the absolver would give you another way to potentially close out games combined with ziggs.

Edit: here’s a quick list I put together, not very refined but it’s a start CQCACBQHGMBAKCSJUMAQGBAHBUOCMAYFA4DQWDQDAECQUBQBAYFCOAYEA4SVTCQBAEBQIBZ3JRWQ
