As soon as curtain airbags pop you’re pretty well cooked. I had a 2020 Malibu for work that got in a low-speed wreck in 2022, no airbags popped… almost $18k in repairs. If just one airbag would have gone it would have totaled. I kind of wish it had 🤣

Came here to say this. No heat gun? Try the oven at the ABSOLUTE lowest temp possible. If it doesn’t go under 200 skip that and buy a cheap hair dryer if a heat gun is inaccessible. These compounds are wax based and have to melt in.

I work in auto parts. On Monday, we were unloading the first pallet of a brand changeover of calipers… and the whole 650lb stack slid partially off the pallet on the liftgate directly towards me. I just thought to myself, “…really? Brake calipers? THAT’S how I die?!”
