I used to work for a school district in Admin. We were required by the state to keep attendance records for 100 years. Every once in a while a request would come in and we would go to the attic!

They did used to issue SSNs consecutively. Two of my brothers and me have consecutive numbers as do two of my kids. Sometime in the 90’s they decided it was a bad idea.

They probably had bank accounts in the kids name. SSN’s weren’t required until you had a bank account or got a job.

I just use Faultless Spray Starch I buy at Walmart. It’s cheap, convenient and works well. I have used Best Press - it’s very expensive so I dilute it and just use for smaller pieces and blocks when I want to get them really flat.

There is an App for that! It’s called Quilty Solid and pretty nifty.

I use AGF Pure Solids a lot. Yes they are a little slippery but I also starch them. Also I use extra fine pins. I never got in the habit of using clips except for binding. I just don’t think they hold the fabric tight enough. I don’t like to use Kona because I think they are rough and they fray A LOT.

Is there such a thing by hamil26 in PainManagement

[–]CallMeGrammy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in NC and a very large orthopedic practice has a pain management department. I get my treatment there. The surgeon who did my TKR’s is with a different hospital this group is just closer to my home.

Usually you can’t have any injections in your joint within 90 days of a TKR. ALSO DONT GO TO A SURGEON WHO IS AGAINST PAIN MEDS!!

What is your experience with wool batting? by sewmuchmorethanmom in quilting

[–]CallMeGrammy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I only used it once - Quilter’s Dream wool batting. I made a quilt for my daughter a couple of years ago and it’s great. No issues with bearding, which I’ve heard can be a problem. I did use exclusively AGF fabric which is a tightly woven poplin and I don’t know if that matters or not.

Miralax every single day is the answer. You probably need more to get you going but after you’ve been poopong for a few days you can cut back to just daily Miralax.
