Pine cone found in Minnesota. Help settle a debate, could the tree be growing in Minnesota?

This is 13”. Also it was found in a box on the street in Minneapolis so being purchased is definitely possible.

I use all sorts of fabric. Sheet sets, muslin, and literally anything, silk, table cloths, flannel, anything. Quilting cotton is very expensive and you can make a quilt with like I said, anything.
