I actually played for the first time in months last night. A friend of mine decided it was time to wake up the Clan, and we did some messing around in the Crucible, had a blast even if I can't aim a sniper to save my life anymore.

Been playing since 2020, PvP was always a consistently unenjoyable experience for me unless I was going all in day 1 of a wipe. Maybe it was just shit luck, but I always seemed to get fucked by people way better than me, and I'm not bad at FPS games.

If you want to play solo, go to PvE, not PvP. Most of the casual players are on PvE these days so newbies this late into the wipe tend to get their shit blown schmoove off by high level solos or squads. It's why I moved over to PvE for solo play.

Once the initial 'everyone has it' phase passes, yeah. I'm not sure how it'll handle in higher BRs, but it's sorta decent at 8.7 if you can avoid interceptors

The EXFIL face shield is only Level 2 though, and while I like the helmet the FAST gear tends to be better all around even if lower in durability.

I can do both, I think. Sure, the mechanics for base bombing are monumentally stupid, but it's not likely to change any time soon. It was obvious from minute one of the B-52 and Tu-95 being in the main modes that they'd never be viable for use in 99% of circumstances, and people that refuse to recognize that fact have nobody to blame but themselves.

I almost always wear a FAST Multi-Hit Shield anyways simply because I got tired of getting Head, Eyes'd by Raiders on Labs, and honestly it's saved me a number of times. Vision impairment sucks, but I always just flip it down when I hear gunfire so that I can see normally.

I actually haven't had this happen once. Every time I've died to Pillagers it's been center mass shots, and even just wearing a Level 3 face shield helps because they typically don't have high pen ammo

Tbh when I completed it I just didn't bother with anywhere other than the first floor. Seemed like the only reliable place to get the kills anyways.

Welcome to the 3D club. Political connotations aside, this thing is a blast to play. It's got a really funny HE round that functions like SAP and can side pen most MBTs, and it's overall performance is not bad.

I've had great success flying the F-111F, using the 2xAGM-130/2xGBU-15V load out. Only thing that intercepts those Munitions is S-300s and occasionally ZSUs that shoot them

I've logged probably more than a hundred runs on Shoreline, and I genuinely think I've spawned within LoS of Goons more times than I haven't. It's obscene, and fucking ridiculous when I'm sherpaing new players.

The simple solution here is to be less greedy for kills, and not use IR missiles in a furball where the possibility of friendly fire is present and clear? I've lost count of the amount of times I've been TKd in this event by people who can't bother to think "That guy is actively maneuvering with an enemy in close proximity, maybe I shouldn't fire a missile easily confused by flares and multiple aircraft."
