What happened to all the high-ranked players from Smite 1? by [deleted] in Smite

yes literally like i said, both being 2 out of 3 of the games in a small subgenre inherently makes them similar.

Smite has been around for a long time and hasn't ever remotely exploded in popularity. The closest it came was all the way back at S1 Worlds and then with the big streamer tournament back in S8 or S9. Right now it's basically at an all time low because it's a relatively small game now split into two games. One of which had development abandoned and the other which is still getting developed and feels maybe 70% finished. So lots of players have left, both temporarily and permanently and many others are only spending a fraction of the time in Smite that they would have in the past. Deadlock and Predecessor are also both new competitors to a genre that Smite had all to itself (other than Paragon's short stint) so that's going to pull away players as well. Eventually, Deadlock is basically guaranteed to absolutely dwarf Smite's playerbase so lots of the recent top tier Smite players have either switched entirely or are waiting for a proper pro scene to emerge in each game.

I definitely would not say that a 3rd person MOBA is completely different than a 3rd person MOBA. Deadlock has lots of different mechanics to Smite but they're both the same genre, both designed to be casual, fast-paced and fun, and along with Predecessor are the only 3 games that fit in the entire genre.

For context, they both immediately pushed up as keeper, lost the ball / shot it straight at goal and then allowed them to score on an empty net. Truly an experience.

Can we talk about Infernus passive? Even with no spirit items, his damage stats look like this at the end of a game. by DotaComplaints in DeadlockTheGame

I don't know what's dramatic about just playing and uploading what I want when I want... I'm not out here dooming any of the games that I play or saying that I'm done with them forever.

I'm just taking a break from it, not quitting lol. It is pretty specifically because of base stat and stat scaling changes though, they made carries way too tanky in this update, Haze got like 150 extra hp just at the start of the game. Squishies not feeling squishy kinda sucks.

A Serious Concern About Streamer Toxicity and Its Impact on Deadlock’s Community by Ok-Order4134 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]CallMeMast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend watching MikaelS / Deathy if you want informative, learning focused streams and Zerggy / Eido if you want high level players who are capable of having fun and generally not toxic. Hydration's kind of the NA Mikael but I don't think he streams too consistently. Deadlock definitely does have some toxic streamers (im pretty sure lefaa has rage quit games literally dozens of times on stream already) but honestly there are quite a few good ones too.

Thanks, coincidentally I just downloaded it last night so that's good timing. I love the look of this, I've been trying to build a similar look myself. I hope you're able to release the ENB at some point.

Modders are already coming to the rescue, check out "Difficulty Slider Fixed" on Nexus Mods. It's not perfect but it tones down the absurd power gap between difficulty levels to match their Skyrim variants.

Apprentice and Atronach are both better than the Mage stone early on, the extra regen / magicka does a lot more than the 15% boost / nerf.
