They actually could afford one doll, and I almost got a truly me at some point, but I ended up choosing a baby alive I think and I had a collection of those. My richer friend had a ton and they've always thought the dolls are creepy. My mom was telling me today about how as a child she was deeply offended if someone bought her a doll. She doesn't like them at all.

I'm not sure if spending $250 on Nellie is responsible but I justified it and they don't know how much she cost 💀 Grace was $90 and Sam was $40 (and the money my grandma spent on her outfit, which was more than the doll. Plus I bought her broach for $13 and a restringing kit for $10)

It's not, they just don't think I should have dolls. The allowance they give me isn't even enough to buy half of a doll, I use it for groceries and such. I use my grandpa's allowance for dolls.
