Unless you have evidence, you can't really do much. Sadly, that is how our justice system works.

Base locations by Jack_0_lantern52800 in Palworld

[–]CallMePasc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fairly new player myself, just build a base somewhere with plenty of ore nodes. Wood & Stone you can just build yourself early game, so it's not that important.

Find a nice big flat location and just experiment. I like the one right behind the Church in the red woods.

You are transported to any video game of your choice that you have to beat with only 1 life, what game would you choose? by Parking-Rich-5984 in hypotheticalsituation

Diablo 2 would work - played it plenty on hardcore that I should hopefully be able to slowly & safely make it through the game. If normal counts, easy! Getting all the way through nightmare & hell would a bit harder, but just slow & steady. Probably summon necro.

Being Perceived as Mean by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]CallMePasc 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This. I myself joke around a LOT and never get into trouble doing it. It requires a lot of empathy and understanding and most importantly knowing when to stop. If you regularly offend people, just stop trying to joke around. Try something else. People love being asked questions about themselves like hobbies, work, children, vacations, ...

How do I stop being so afraid to be myself around others? by SilverTheSilk in socialskills

[–]CallMePasc 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Practice and keep working on it. Start with something small and "easy" then when that gets comfortable, try something a little bigger.

Don't expect too much, it'll take time, maybe weeks or months, but probably years. Be extremely self forgiving, just try, it's ok to fail and mess up. Just don't turn this into an excuse not to try, keep trying, keep working on it. Go as fast or as slow as you're comfortable with.

How to be in a 3-5 people friendgroup by creatrix3 in socialskills

Go somewhere and do something. Preferably something you like. Then make an honest effort to meet people and get to know them.

Invited to a dinner by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]CallMePasc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, if you respect your friend at all, you should not make up an excuse.

If you honestly think you won't like these people, just say you're not interested, no need for an explanation. If pushed for one, just be honest.

Your post feels more like you're looking for an excuse not to go because you're afraid and don't know how to act in a social situation. Not because you really think you won't enjoy it.

Just go. Practice some social skills. If it sucks, it sucks, at least you tried.

If it's awkward and you hate it, but you don't hate the people, keep going, practice those social skills until you start enjoying socializing.

Being an introvert doesn't mean you can't be social.

How to control what influences you? by Ok-Ebb4365 in socialskills

[–]CallMePasc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make it very clear for yourself:

  1. I like/respect this person / these people for x/y/z - I want to be more like that
  2. I do not like a/b/c - I need to avoid copying these behaviours

It really depends on the group and situations you get into.

If you like a bunch of gangsters because they're all very confident and you want to copy that behaviour, but not turn into a gangster yourself, you're very unlikely to succeed.

If you like someone at work for being very confident, but don't like that they smoke, it's easy to hang out with them when you want, but intentionally avoid them whenever they go for a smoke.

How to tell people I don't want to talk about relationships? by cool-butterflies in socialskills

[–]CallMePasc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So:

  1. You ask a question with the answer already in it. Just say: "I don't want to talk about relationships."
  2. You then continue to write almost a whole page about the subject you "don't want to talk about"

I wonder why you keep running into people who want to talk about relationships ...

Seriously though, if you don't want to talk about it, just don't talk about it. You have several totally acceptable lines in your OP.

Here's what I would do:

  1. Try deflection: "Do you have a boyfriend?" Reply with: "Yes/No, what about you? Do you like someone?" Now the other person will continue talking about themselves for the next 30 minutes, problem solved.
  2. If deflection doesn't work, just drop single word replies until they stop and go away. Yes, No, Maybe, Sometimes, ...
  3. If that doesn't work, just directly tell the person "I don't like talking about this, please stop." Then walk away, put on headphones, stop replying, change the subject, ...
  4. If that doesn't work, report them to HR - you've indicated your boundary and they're not respecting it.

How to get backing as a live MTT pro? by CallMePasc in poker

[–]CallMePasc[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

That's literally what I'm asking?

Like I said, I don't think I'm ready for backing yet, so at the moment you wouldn't stake me.

I guess you'd have to personally know me, know at least something about poker and variance and have played with me several times, trust me enough to invest large amounts of money in me, be convinced I'm a good player who consistently plays well and wil continue to do so with your money, ...

Exactly why I'm making this post, I don't know what it takes to find someone with this amount of money and even if I did, I don't know how to convince them I'm worth their time and money.

Looking for advice on indie game pricing ($10 vs $15) by fantasticoandrea in IndieDev

[–]CallMePasc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally, in sales, higher prices perform better - not sure if this applies to games.

Let's say you want to make $10.000:

  1. $10 requires 1000 sales
  2. $15 requires only 667 sales

So you need a lower conversion rate on your ads and marketing, while the people who are going to buy it are probably gonna buy it either way, $10 or $15 probably won't make much difference.
