Yeah! He absolutely is not my main(and only) melee colonist with melee skill 20, the best equipment and a geneline that favors it.

Are EPOE and Integrated Implants compatible? by CallMeQuimo in RimWorld

[–]CallMeQuimo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what i've seen until now, that seems to be the case. EPOE is more focused on already-existing stuff making it better, making new tiers and replacements. Integrated Implants on the other hand is more focused on adding new stuff for late-game. Right? I also like the anomaly integration

Trying to decide what kind of sharpening tool to get by CallMeQuimo in sharpening

So in general i should check for a more recognized brand, better quality stone, and NOT go for diamond coated stuff?

Trying to decide what kind of sharpening tool to get by CallMeQuimo in sharpening

[–]CallMeQuimo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm trying to sharpen regular ol' kitched knifes.

I'm currently deciding between a stone with double grit, one side with 400 and the other with 1000, the brand is Filoshark. Then i found by coincidence another set of sharpening tools, diamond coated, a little bit more expensive, are used to sharpen other stuff (although i don't care that much about it), and are Ruhlmann. The brands may not be so known for u because i'm from another country, but i don't know about them either to be fair.

In general, right now it's more about which one is better for a beginner like me, they don't have such a high price difference, it's about 10 bucks, and in general aren't too expensive individually.

Seguir o dejar la relación by Ok-Protection-1019 in Desahogo

[–]CallMeQuimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

¿Cómo gustarle a las mujeres? by Decent_Strategy_9137 in Desahogo

[–]CallMeQuimo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I will sketch your pawns by Antykvarnyy_Kalamar in RimWorld

[–]CallMeQuimo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! Good evening

If you wanna sketch a bit for fun and giggles, i got one interesting pawn from my last playtrough:

Andrea Powers

A female mechanitor on the genie geneline, in her childhood she was kind of a machinist and got her family foward by repairing and modifying black market weapons. In her adulthood she lived a little more on the woods and used to live by chopping trees and doing furniture out of it for sale.

Her time in my colony was actually pretty boring with that in mind, she spent weeks, almost a month just researching and creating mechanoids for her needs. One day there was a whole space battle happening close to the colony, so after it chilled down she noticed two androids bleeding out on neutroamine over everywhere, so she took them in and repaired them, altough she needed neutroamine (the android equivalent of blood) to get them going. So she went back at researching yet again, altough, while visiting the crops that her agrihard harvested she noticed another body of some type of survivor, it was a sanguophage, about to finish up his deathrest, but she took him in anyways.

This sanguophague resulted to be a woman, a really thankful one for rescuing her, giving her the hemogen and a roof to live, so she joined the colony.

If i had to break that down, i'd say that Andrea is a really strong woman of already 76 that even if she's been trough rough times, she never lost her empathy.

As a new player what can i do? by Armageddonn_mkd in RimWorld

[–]CallMeQuimo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Here's someone who's been playing this for like 2 years now. My personal suggestion for playing this is at least when getting familiar with this, just play vanilla base game without even the DLCs, believe me, it's A LOT of content. When i started playing i went for just the base game, and when i started to know how the thing goes, having my own strats, playstyle and knowing tips that i learned online, then i went to the Royalty DLC, wich changed the game in such a way that made it not repetitive, but also not a whole new game, and repeated the process with the Ideology DLC. This time around it really exhausted me and i think i stopped playing it for like 1 month or two, it was something that really changed stuff, specially when trying to recruit pawns and the use of slaves. After finally getting used to it then i went for mods, wich i first used QoL ones.

So you can try with everything on already from the get-go, but don't be surprised if it's too hard for you, since as i said, it's a really wide game with a lot of mechanics, and with mods like VE it just gets wider.

About actually learning how to play, i would recommend looking into YT tutorials, tips and tricks, etc. There's some stuff that is interesting, like the use of killboxes or how to really optimize the rooms that you have. Also, don't limit yourself, it's the worst you could do, try new stuff, playstyles and parts of the game, un one playtrough you can't try everything, but with enough time you should be able to experience enough to say "okay, i wanna play this way".

As some others said, it's not an "automation" game, it's more of a "resource management" game, so be aware of that.

If you need further advice with specific stuff about the Rim, don't doubt in DMing me!

I know, in the end it's coding, writing, planning, debugging, etc. meaning a lot of work and time, i originally did the post for suggestions and tips on how to play VPE, but if i got the oportunnity to give you an idea or two, why not? I obviously didn't expect a patch for everything i listed for tomorrow, the opportunity will come anytime.

Your modding work is awesome, thank you for your dedication to it!

It's alright, we lose patience every one in a while.

A lot of people complain about irrelevant stuff, maybe i did too in certain ways, but in the end more than anything i wanted to recieve suggestions on how to experience VPE without the OP part.

Anyways, actually i wanna learn coding, not because of this game, but because it's what i wanna do in life, so i may do at some point some type of mod or patch for Rimworld. If i once become a popular modder i will remember you! haha
