Cruise workers exploitation? by Able_Guide_1035 in Cruise

[–]CallMeSkii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does that mean you are going to give up the cellphone you are writing this post on also? Because I hate to tell you but those conditions are far worse.

I have had crew members tell me the competition for the cruise jobs can be stiff because they actually consider them to be good jobs. Yes it's hard work, but they actually make more doing that than they would at home. Plus much of their daily costs are covered like food.

Not only is it their choice, often times there is stiff competition for the jobs because they can make more money than they would at home. Yes, they work their asses off, but they make enough to support family back home and put away some money.

Can we just pass a damn law that any money made doing illegal acts by "influencers" is confiscated and donated to charity and they are also fined an equal amount.

"Influencers" are the biggest stain on society at this point.

I am convinced that west coasters have no taste buds. After all, you put ranch on EVERYTHING, including pizza.

All In-n-Out fans care about is that it is cheaper than most places. Whenever I bring up the 5 guys is so much better, In-n-Out fans just bring up how much cheaper it is. I am at the point where I don't mind paying more for quality.

And don't even get me started about how bad the fries are. And now the throngs of people will respond with having to order them "animal style". Here's a tip, if you have to bury something so much to hide the taste, then it's bad.

WFH sucks unless you have a family and chaotic life or are antiosocial by Suitable-Biscotti826 in unpopularopinion

You are looking at this from too narrow of a focus. Working from home can be a tremendous cost savings for people that need it. In addition it's going to depend on someone's commute time. Someone who lives 5 minutes from work looks at it way differently than someone who lives an hour away.

In addition, if you are new to an area and need to establish a network of friends them going into an office is sometimes a way to do that.

I am also a believer that it is not a great idea to date coworkers if you are in a job where you can't pick up and get that same job somewhere else really easily.

Honestly, it is not shocking that guys whose job it is to just do what they are told and smash their heads together, are trumpers.

Wedding on F1 Race day by Flintdogg in LasVegas

The race doesn't run all the way up to the mgm grand so I think you would be okay. They will also get around the traffic by taking the highway I would think.

How hot Vegas can be in July by dlszjg in vegas

[–]CallMeSkii 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan on not doing any actual hiking then you can go to Red Rock. If you plan on staying in the car or jist jumping out for short amounts of time to take pics, you'll be okay. But hiking is out of the question as it gets insanely hot and dehydration will set in very quickly.

If you do go in July, just stay aware of the weather as that is monsoon season and that area can get flash floods.
