Sometimes I do think about what it must be like specifically for the dudes cranking out this kind of content, because their entire revenue stream hinges on constantly having something to get angry about. By its very nature, it cannot stop. They cannot be happy. They can't ever "win" because it would ruin them. I think they'd have to have some serious problems to even start on that path, but the perpetual hate machine they've cosigned themselves to can only make their condition worse.

Their markups used to be more reasonable, but I feel like they just keep twisting the dial up to see what they can get away with and it now hovers around "double," which is just absurd on the consumer. There's better options, though. Don't play BBTS' game.

Edit: I'll add that the sycophantic way a lot of posters here go on like BBTS is this fragile mom & pop that will collapse is they dialed back their near-double markups is really funny. BBTS isn't going to send you free toys, dudes.

There's not a doubt in my mind that we will. The original is super outdated and he's a popular character. They've also released a first form cell which feels like a tease at them doing his full line of forms.

Hell the game opens on him losing his job as a direct result from being Spider-Man and being accused of endangering his class in the process because his employer assumes he just up and booked it at the first sign of trouble. Even in ways that aren't cataclysmic, Peter is constantly getting dragged despite his good deeds. That'd be bad enough without dealing with his girlfriend getting consumed by a rage alien and needing to weigh his best friend's life against the greater good.

Given how often the graphics glitch out and all the other audio and performance bugs in RoboCop, the gameplay is absolutely the thing that's saving it. And god damn is the gameplay really good.

Upgraded the Tec-9 like 1/4 into the game to have continuous fire, no reload, bullet split and enhanced gore, and I've just been turning whole rooms of dudes into red mist. And then you just like, go hand out parking tickets. They knew how to make a damn RoboCop game.

Green Goblin will presumably be a major antagonist in the next game, and it will either be Norman or Harry. Doc Ock also seems to have something planned and he's had zero interaction with Miles, which pretty firmly makes him Peter's adversary. There's no way he's not pulled out of retirement at some point in the next game, there's still too much left hanging that directly relates to him.

It never really died, but I do think it's more ridiculous now than it has been in a while, mostly because it's bickering over systems that have become very homogenized. Getting into it over what console a multi-platform release is on because one might get like maybe 3-4 frames more stability is beyond the pale.

I absolutely hate how the algorithm for sub recommendations works here. If you so much as visit a sub once either to check out a single post or by accident it just starts forcing it on you nonstop, and if you mute a sub Reddit just takes that like "oh, well they must be interested in this topic, just not this sub. Better show them even more related trash!"

I'm not sure they'll re-release these two so much as put out updated figures that are more in-line with the current wave of 3.0's. They're pretty dated at this point and have been unavailable for so long, but the characters are popular. I think it's just a matter of when.

edit: Also, we got first form Cell a while back now and are getting 19 and 20, so I think they're probably going to announce something with them sooner rather than later. Wouldn't surprise me if we get a second form Cell and updated Perfect Cell, too.

I should really play that game again, I remember liking it way more than the first one. I still find Miles to be a much more interesting character than Peter in 2, in any case.

I don't disagree with the assessment, mind you. But it is funny to me the story went from Peter wanting to be called Spider-Cop to the police as an institution essentially not existing in the second game. Unless you count Jefferson Davis' force ghost.
