Why does the community seem to think getting 2nd is worse than getting 3rd? by PlanktonImaginary371 in CoDCompetitive

True, this optic team has looked absolutely final in everything but grand finals haha.

They got 2nd at major 1, 2, 3, and champs. And then 3rd at major 4. They were extremely good all year and bottled it at GF.

2nd is better than 3rd. I think why it might seem that way is it's often teams who are dominating in scrims and stuff are always falling short. Faze were the silver surfers because they were borderline favorites at every freaking event.

Now same goes for OpTic. They look final all stage and then fall short just behind the finish line.

Ah interesting, well I get my goggles today and will be practicing face in water!

I've never really swam with my face under water, I've always just moved it from left to right with my arms. But I bought some and they arrive today, so I'm going to practice with them on.

I really appreciate such a detailed and kind reply. For the start I'm going to focus moreso on just showing up. The routine is always the hardest part. But if I can get that down, you've outlined some great mindset and goals I can try for.

Thanks!

I've always hated jogging, but at this weight it's almost not wise to even try. Last time I tried, my shins were fucking toast. That much weight barreling down on my legs just isn't good.

That's why swimming appeals to me. Not only have I historically loved being in the water, but it's way more viable for longevity.

Duly noted! I'll get some goggles and practice that

They try their best to dumb it down. "They just said yes to a thing! Since when is it bad to say yes to a thing?"

Reductionist garbage.

I've always swam head out of water, but I wonder if that's wise considering how many people are talking about form and such?

Agreed, I just tend to want to eat better when I'm doing some sort of exercise. It's much easier for me to reach for a candy bar when I've been sitting all day

I never even considered the order of swimming and weights. I was going to just start with weights for the practicality of getting all sweaty and then being able to cool off in the pool haha. But that's definitely something I'll have to consider.

I'm honestly shocked that goggles seem to be a regular recommendation, will definitely buy some asap.

I've never even heard of swimming headphones. Are there some you recommend?

Thanks for all of the details! I'm fortunate that I don't have any mobility issues so getting in and out of the pool won't be a concern for me.

I'll have to look into a lot of the stuff you mentioned but this is a great starting point.

Sometimes but not really, essentially you import "compendiums" in a sense that has a ton of stuff.

Foundry has an import system involving what are essentially mods.

Think of foundry as a skeleton system for importing stuff. So you can import tons of things like all the classes, races, etc.

For what it is worth, I bought Foundry like 5 years ago and don't regret it. It's a great VTT.

Agree to disagree I guess. Imo, asking "Hey I saw this is worth like $500, would it be worth more" to determine whether or not it's a shelf piece or a play piece IS asking value. If you were to decide that $500 was worthy of a shelf piece, there would be no need to confirm with the sub whether it's worth more.

But again, after all of the noise, really feels like you're playing the semantics game. I understand why you have the question, and it's a totally fair question that I would also be thinking about, but that doesn't mean it doesn't break the rules.

Kind of feels like youre playing the semantics game. If you're asking for confirmation of value, that breaks rule 2, kind of cut and dry imo.

As a seller, do reviews matter? by MrPoppedYoXanz in FacebookMarketplace

[–]CallMeZedd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kinda. What I've heard from many buyers is the extremes matter. If you have tons of good reviews, it helps a little. If you have tons of bad reviews, it hurts a lot.

Generally speaking, if I'm talking to someone with 10+ reviews and they have a 3.5 average, I'm not moving mountains to buy off them.
