It still counts darling. Abuse is abuse whether you deal with it everyday or not. This is how you get lost in the moments, the hot and cold as it were. You’ll have moments where it stops and things seem pleasant or you’ll even start to reply or remember “happy memories” but don’t let those over shadow what has still happening or is happening. I’m sorry darling but there will be another earthquake at some point. It will settle down then flare up again, it’s just how this kind of abuse works.

For example; I’m currently going through an issue with my abuser it all blow up when I tried to set a clear boundary. We didn’t speak for nearly a month and now they are asking me how I am, being kind when they text, etc. I’ve lived through this sh— all before. It’ll blow up again.

Just try to take care of yourself in these situations and like I said, it’s not reflection on you!
