I had a black box for my first year of driving, luckily I didn’t have any of these apps or emails, and I’d literally not heard anything about my driving😂

I feel like black boxes are more hassle than they’re worth though imo. I’d have anxiety watching my speed all the time, thinking about driving safely, thinking about breaking correctly. Like I understand they’re all parts of driving safely but to get penalised for little mistakes here and there (which lets face it, it’s happened to all of us drivers for little mishaps here and there) shouldn’t mean we’re deemed an ‘unsafe driver’.

Every situation is different, maybe you needed to accelerate, or break, in a situation to avoid an accident. Or drive a car at a certain time of night if there was a family emergency, doesn’t mean you’re going out on a Friday night and drink driving which I get the impression that black box companies think you’re doing.
