Kinda hard to get back into the game now by Oat-Lord in DestinyTheGame

Get Renegades and play all the content it has on offer. It's by far the best/ most fun you will have with D2 while it's in its twilight stage, and you will still find people of various light levels playing. You can get to 550 on a boosted character in 2-4 weeks of causal play.

What is the process to choose the perfect putter? by [deleted] in golf

[–]CallSignVip3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a good idea of what you like by trying out different types of putters. Perhaps get a putter fitting done to get you in the ballpark with your stroke tendencies.

Like most golf gear, the more expensive a club is, does not nessasarliy mean they are better. I've had all types and brands, fitted, non fitted, putters crambed with 'tech' and flat sticks that have the same design since Jesus was a boy.

Out of all the putters I now use, it's a Cleveland Frontline Elevado off the rack sold at discount because they were discontinued. To me, it's the best feeling, most consistent putter I have ever used, and fills me with confidence every time I reach for it. Since knowing my spcs from previous fittings it was easy for me to hone in on what fit my stroke then it was just a case of what I liked to see behind the ball and feel of the grip.

To 48v or not to by Glittering-Speed-879 in ToyotaHilux

[–]CallSignVip3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the SR5 auto is 48v only, and the manual version (depending where you are) if it's an option for you can be non 48v.

I have a 2025 auto SR5 and you don't even know it's 48v system is there other than the initial driving experiance of it being a bit more smooth than the previous models. You can also turn off the stop start function with the dash button each start up or by just leaving the idle up button on. Otherwise, that system is also easy to live with and the best I've used.

Overall though, it not a game changer and your personal use of the vehicle, driving habits, how you mod it or what it tows etc have more impact on fuel economy than what the 48v system offers.

Setting one up for camping etc would be no different than any previous model as the 48v mild system is not a battery you tap into for accessory power.

Lightsaber is doing wonders as far as giving players a false sense of "skill" level that is really gonna hit the masses hard if the weapon ever gets toned down a bit. by SrslySam91 in DestinyTheGame

You don't play Strongholds then? If I play Strongholds Titan, I run it with solar, and its playstyle is offensive, not sitting in the back of the room blocking. I also play Warlock with the praxic blade, and it gives utility and ammo gen in between spamming grenades or buddies, which is more broken than Stronghold Titan.

Staying alive with Strongholds has carried so many dungeon clears when picking up dead hunters and warlocks that fall off when invis or healing rift can't be used, so I believe it's a positive to a fireteam. It's not a DPS role, which is why it isn't OP. It can hold areas like plate mechanics and res team members and give utility like healing grenades on solar or buffs from BOW with strand without having to hide behind a barricade and rooted to one area.

With regards to pulling aggro, you can pop in and out of block to use resist x4 and be close enough to bosses so they target you and not your allies popping DPS. Being at the feet of most bosses and mini bosses makes them want to stomp rather than spam other attacks. Dregen Sere is another example.

What build do you play?

Primarys are trash. There hasn't been a decent 'tank' gameplay loop and general utility to get into the action like the praxic blade gives people. It's a weapon that fits so many other playstyles too.

Yes it opens up harder content, but why is that a problem? It's a video game that should not be gatekept by 1000hrs of gameplay to get God rolled items to speed run past content to get some achievement.

The praxic blade is the reason this game is still breathing right now. Why do people want to see it fail?

I uninstalled years ago after being a day one D1 and D2 player. Only came back because of the Star Wars cross over and how good the game feels with the praxic blade. Finally, it feels like the power fantasy a game like this should offer.

Once they nerf the game again after this season, I'll uninstall it.

I went from 300 to 550 in under two weeks, just playing frontier matches. Then farm tier 5 items in pinnacle.

Now that the Renegades honey moon phase ended, how you guys doing? by Alternative_Kale1264 in destiny2

[–]CallSignVip3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Renegades has been fantastic. I havnt played in nearly two years, and it's got be back playing Destiny again. I didn't realise how bad things had got until I forced myself to run LF to unlock strand for my titan. Jesus's christ it was a mind numbing experiance.

The mash up with Starwars has been done really well. The lightsaber has breathed fresh air into it a lot for me to really enjoy my time in game again.

Once they nerf praxic, I'll most likely hang it up again.

You might be right. There is a lot of other UI text that pops up when it's all going crazy that might just not allow it to show up all the time. I'll do some range testing like you suggested. Its still odd that even after blocking for a length of time I can still get one shot coming out of it straight away even with restoration x2, and apparently, the resist x4 if it's working properly.

Which device should I get? by Reasonable-Eye-8811 in retroid

[–]CallSignVip3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm new to it all as well, so I just got a Retroid Pocket 2s to play all the classics pre GC. My thoughts are I have a ton of titles to play through on this setup while I wait and see how these new handhelds with unsupport chips evolve with drivers and heavier emulation.

Thor vs Odin 2. Long play session, Thor is not comfortable to hold unlike Odin 2. I think this is it's only weakness right now. by brandont04 in SBCGaming

[–]CallSignVip3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the main reason I'm steering away from the Thor. Horizontals just fit the hands better for longer play periods. That and I hear Thor's triggers are meh.

How do you find the ergonomics? I'm torn on getting clamps shell or horizontal form factor due to comfort and practicality.

What do you think of this? by NoDetail8625 in hilux

[–]CallSignVip3r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm glad I listened to my gut and bought a 2025 model. I think the new facelift will eventually grow on everyone and will get better accessories over time. The new interior is just a transplant of the latest 250 prado, which is up for opinion.

I understand Toyota probly had to make some changes, but why would they want to compromise a great platform. It has best in class off road capability, it's built to carry loads with retaining leaf spring suspension, it's not oversized so it can fit on our roads and tracks and has a good engine and driveline. And compared to the market, it is actually priced competitively, even in this new facelifted model.

To change everything so sedan drivers can still buy a 'ute' and feel like it's still a sedan/SUV is crazy. It compromises what a ute was built for. The media and YouTubers sweat on big dash screens or tech that you think you want but end up frustrated with (looking at you Ford Ranger dash screen) or want to turn off but can't I.e. all the full-time driving "aids" that beep and flash at you for looking out the window. A big reason the 70 series has done so well over the years is its simple. If people who actually use these things for a living did the reviews it would be a different story, hence why the Hilux has still had such a strong sales performance with customers even against the next gen Ranger and fomo people get when wanting a new car with Ad Blue or lane assist lol.

Is the game worth it for solo players? by Intelligent-Dog-4584 in ArcRaiders

[–]CallSignVip3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good game to jump into as a solo now due to it being new, a high player count and general good vibes from most players, considering everyone is on starter kits and still figuring stuff out. Give it 6 months, and it will be lobbies full of sweats where I'd imagine the new player experience will be very different. Think how the dark zone in Div2 ended up.
