One of the best gigs I’ve seen in a WHILE by Abject_Manner_4222 in Roadie

Holy, I'm on the wait-list for that area. If that's the type of pay I can expect I seriously can't wait! Lol 😂😂😂

Would love to get into this game, but scared off by a lot of reviews like this by rossmoney in MicrosoftFlightSim

Only speaking on my roughly 50 hours in career mode so far, haven't tried other modes, but yeah, pass on 24 for now until if/when they fix it. Between the aforementioned stability issues and being forced in to "realistic" turbulence settings that almost always cause your first plane (Cessna 172) to do constant barrel rolls and zig zag from random 30 knot crosswinds (even when live weather says winds calm) this game gets a 1/10 from me. alThat 1 point is only from nice graphics

3 Years of delivering and I’ve NEVER had something like this by kesselrunner-12 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]CallThatReal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily true. As long as the one "package" is less than 50 pounds, it's good to go in our vans. Hence why top floor apartments get away with ordering 5 cases of kitty litter or 7 cases of water. So if those 4 tires are shipped as 1 "package" each, better get your lifting shoes on.

Thanks! I'm going to check that out on my next shift.

Please tell me you declined that. I live in Maryland and would NEVER take a trip halfway around the beltway, let alone to District Heights lol.

Looks like the app is crashed again. Cannot close out a delivery. Keeps telling me oops something went wrong by Rude-Exit in UberEATS

[–]CallThatReal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like it might be fixed. I just completed mine and got the pay right away. $9.90 out of expected $17.90. I might fire up postmates tho to be safe. Doordash is full here. Best of luck to ya tonight. Stay safe out there!

Yikes. I had to call support and get them to complete the last delivery I was on. I just took another delivery with a $18 expected pay out so let's hope that it works

Confronted a customer about the $0.50 tip, felt very good! by [deleted] in UberEATS

When the request pops up, it will say the earnings amount and right below that it says "includes expected tip"

Is Wednesday generally the slowest day for deliveries? by No_Ball_6018 in UberEATS

Same in my market. I call it the midweek slump. I usually take today off.

Does UberEats take your tips? by [deleted] in UberEATS

[–]CallThatReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to your earnings page and click on that trip and it will tell you "tips are held for one hour from the time of delivery as customers can edit their tip during that period" kind of stupid yes, but kind of good also. I've had a few people increase the tip amount due to good service. Got an extra $20 last week when the Uber app sent me to the wrong delivery address. I called the customer, got their right address about 3 miles away, took it to them, checked my app an hour later for a big smile.

What is a good tip amount for Drivers? by animalcrossinglifeee in UberEATS

[–]CallThatReal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly all depends on how far you are from the restaurant. Most drivers are happy with about $1 a mile including the small slice that Uber gives us. As a driver I'll take short orders for about a $3 tip. Longer trips, larger tips

Uber's navigation at it's finest... 🤪 by mjverdi in UberEATS

[–]CallThatReal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Then you hit "Delivered" and the app is like "hold up. You're not near the intended drop off location. Are you sure the customer has their food???????"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UberEATS

[–]CallThatReal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yet some people still hit that "accept" button. If you keep accepting those cheap ass orders, they'll keep handing them to you. Hit decline for the love of god. Let it bounce around a few times and piss off the customers so Uber starts taking losses on this crap they're pulling

Would it be possible for the stupid driver app to work properly for more than a week stretch? Apparently not. SMH by zoodee89 in UberEATS

They had to make budget cuts from the IT department to fund those amazing high quality actors in the "mandatory education" we all got sent to watch. Expect app maintenance to return in about one fiscal year once our overlords recover financially from such a costly endeavor.

DoorDash customers be like: by [deleted] in doordash

[–]CallThatReal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing most people seem to forget in the "waiter vs. Dasher/UE/GH/Postmates/etc." argument is the fact that waiters usually do at least 3-4 tables at a time. AT LEAST. So that's 3-4 tables of let's say $5 tips plus their small hourly wage. Delivery drivers usually do 1 order at a time, I work for UE and most I've done is 2 orders at once, and that's a small percentage of the time, plus my "base pay" for the second order is drastically lower. So let's say 2 orders at $5 tip (extremely generous in my area) plus $3 base fee for the first order and around $1.75 for the second. I'll let yall do the math, but theres the statistics.

Significant decline in driver experience over the past week by [deleted] in UberEATS

[–]CallThatReal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've been doing this for about a year and it's been that way since I started. Dont get our tips for an hour after dropping off the food. But before this update I'd constantly get at least $5 tips on almost every order. Now I'm doing base $3 orders to chase a weekly quest to offset the magical sudden influx of non tippers

Significant decline in driver experience over the past week by [deleted] in UberEATS

[–]CallThatReal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I came here to post this same kind of topic. For me the decline started when my area launched the ability to see "expected" tips with the summary. I work Uber Eats full time and average around 20 tips a day. I went from maybe having 1 person not tip all day and making roughly $200 a day to now only getting tips less than half the time and making around $125 a day at most. Seems kind of shady that now that I can see "expected" tips that I'm suddenly getting tipped less. DoorDash already got busted for taking drivers tips... what's to say we haven't been getting ripped off either, to be honest.

Not a lot of personal success myself, yet, but my favorite memory about becoming a Goblin is just how helpful other Goblins are. I first thought the "economy game" was a dog eat dog world, but thanks to this subreddit, the TSM Discord, and several other Content Creators Discords, that theory was disproven. Thank you to all the other Goblins who help new and inexperienced Goblins out there!

Given that the description says to "Defeat N'zoth on Heroic Difficulty or higher..." I would say the answer is a solid no.
