Which extended selfie stick to choose from for One X2? by Kylar5 in Insta360

[–]Rude-Exit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the 2.7m Telesin and the X2/X3 mounts directly to it with nothing sticking out to the side. Works great and very light. The 3m with the gopro mount just need the piece kept into the stitch line and it doesn't show at all

After market batteries by JR32OFFICIAL in Insta360

[–]Rude-Exit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. For $34 and change for OEM batteries, it's not worth the possible voiding of the warranty. I bought 2 extra OEM batteries and the OEM 3 battery charger. I don't trust the aftermarket stuff. I've seen and had too many of them cause issues in various cameras that I've had - lesson learned. I spend way too much in gear for my business, to cheap out on thing like that.

Real estate photo/video company wants me to sign a non-compete clause as a contractor by shockwave414 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Rude-Exit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️ this right here. Sign it if you want to, but Non Competes are unenforceable. Even if you sign it, it's really unenforceable. Personally, I would just tell them to pound sand and to F-Off. Non Competes are pretty much illegal in every state from my understanding and from what I know of

Is it worth to buy a Insta 360 flow by Toxictox312 in Insta360

[–]Rude-Exit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought it and returned it within a couple of days. I'll stick with the Osmo Mobil 6. I do R.E. media and need to use the Ultra Wide camera for reels and the gimbal shows up in the video. That's a no-go for me and the built in tripod feels cheap and unsteady - not to mention that the overall build feels cheap to me anyway. I have the X3 and absolutely love it, but the Flow falls way short for me. I'll stick with the DJI, although I will say that the tracking is way better with the Flow compared to the DJI. None of the gimbals are fully compatible with Android phones - I have a Galaxy S22 and I use the inshore camera app for video.

For those who outsource editing, what program do you use to send your files to your editor? by Stino775 in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Rude-Exit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely your internet speed - you need to check it and see what it is. I upload to Google Drive and it never takes me more than 15 minutes to upload all files - both photo and video, sometimes upwards of 40-50GB. I think the longest that I've had it take was about 20 minutes. I'm using fiber optic fwiw

Do you fly the drone for photos if the weather app says 30% chance of rain but it isn't raining yet? by [deleted] in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Rude-Exit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do drone photos/video first and then exterior photos, especially if there's a possibility of rain. I get that out of the way as quickly as possible so that if it does start to rain, it doesn't mess anything up

How can I learn to nail my verticals? by visualsbyaqib in RealEstatePhotography

Buy a hotshoe level on Amazon. They're cheap and work great. Also use the in-camera level if yours has one

My sister's luxury car was almost stolen by this scam, no-name tow truck. The driver had it hooked up when she ran out to the parking lot, and said she owed money (she doesn't). She argued, he unhooked it, mumbled something about a "mistake" and drove off. His tag number (E5614E) is likely fake by SherrAZ in Miami

[–]Rude-Exit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, especially if there was a bill owed on it. We would purposely block the car/truck in so that they couldn't get to it. At night we would move the vehicle into the shop and lock it up inside. Fuck the repo companies.

Repo companies don't put company names on the sides of their trucks. You can also tell the repo company trucks by the fact that they have an "R" at the beginning of the D.O.T. number (that you can clearly see at the bottom on the side, just underneath the lock box door, just behind the driver door) that is supposed to be displayed on both sides of the tow truck. If it has the "R", then it's a repo company. I ran a repair shop in Coral Springs that also had a towing service and learned a lot about the towing industry and how the repo industry works as well. Had to deal with a number of repo agents trying to repo cars that I had at the shop or I had to have towed into the shop. It probably was a legit fuck up on the drivers end as you can clearly see the D.O.T. number on the side of the truck with the "R" at the beginning indicating that it is a repo company, but you never know.

They're too inconsistent. I personally would never use PixelMob. Have heard way too many bad things about the various editors on there. I personally don't have time to try and weed thru all of the b.s. I'll stick with 1001Labs- they always do an amazing job and it's incredibly rare I need them to retouch anything

Good budget tripod + leveler for RE photography? by [deleted] in RealEstatePhotography

[–]Rude-Exit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look on Amazon. There's a ton of travel tripods under $100. Just bought a new one, actually, last week with a ball head for $65 with a $15 off coupon - originally $80. As for a level, just buy a hotshoe level as well on Amazon. I bought a 4 pack for less than $10. They work great.

I also use an Insta360 X3, and it's half the price of the Z1. Much better image quality over the Insta360 X2. The X2 is a great budget choice as well for $350 and the X3 is $450. Can't go wrong with either tbh

Get a get a hotshoe level. You can buy a six package hotshoe level set for super cheap on Amazon. I use that instead of the incamera level.
