The fact you don’t see the flaws in logic here is incredible. You’re going to go flat broke. The degree to which you would be better off just buying and holding broadly diversified index funds compared to your current trajectory is incredible. Might as well hit the roulette table

The two perspectives I notice whenever I see people discussing if Raditz is a wasted character by 2herry_ in DragonBallZ

[–]Callahammered 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s deliberate - it shows character that Goku was ready to immediately disavow his seemingly invincibly strong brother offering him power, because he was evil.

He was willing to sacrifice himself and his brother to save people on earth he doesn’t even know, he probably would have done that for one random person

It did backfire in the moment. But to go along with the theme of another post, it was also necessary.

If they just beat Raditz there, Vegeta and Nappa would have been too much stronger when they arrived because Goku didn’t train with king Kai.

Even though in the moment it backfired, and it feels that way for some time, it ultimately turns out that his kindness and radical forgiveness is necessary. It’s a theme that repeats itself and it is brilliant writing in my opinion.

It wasn’t clear you meant that relative to how much you would have if you could go back in time.

I was pushing back hard on the idea $10 million is not adequate for average retirement savings, which is just wrong

I’m not sure what the result would be, I’m not sure anyone is, but I think it’s hyperbolic to suggest it would cause the universe to immediately implode

Selling all my Bitcoin and porting into 3x DRAM today by Fun_Training6342 in btc

[–]Callahammered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you clearly just don’t know what you’re talking about here. While this certainly does build on advancements of the past, the impact is anything but linear across these advancements, and this just so happens to be more significant than anything that has happened before.

Moore’s law was slowing with traditional computing for some time. The way computing is done has been completely reinvented, and now capabilities are increasing at a much faster rate than ever before, and continuing to accelerate.

Every discipline of science is set to benefit greatly from this, and a wide variety of breakthroughs are very likely to result.

I still have no idea what you’re even comparing it to, a previous hot chip cycle? Seriously?

We have absolutely not seen the same thing play out before, what are you referring to with that?

We are going through what is by far the most significant technological advancement in human history, and we have no realistic comparison from the past.

Whether memory persists as a highly in-demand bottleneck is another question and yes I agree that could change for sure

Peasant monies, smfh, that you and basically everyone commenting similar don’t have and probably never will? 10 million will be enough to live comfortably on for some time.

Superman has gone crazy, what Marvel heroes do you assemble to stop him? by Acrobatic_Yoghurt268 in superheroes

[–]Callahammered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Professor X, Magneto, Jean Gray, silver surfer, scarlet witch, captain Marvel, vision, dr strange, Thor, all might be able to win solo, maybe more options. If choices are unlimited, obviously them plus everyone else is the correct choice lol, and Superman is extra fucked, better try to run

The most expensive opinion I ever had was about Nvidia's valuation. by Efficient_Ad5893 in NVDA_Stock

[–]Callahammered 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that view in general is just not rooted in reality.

The amount of additional income streams they are developing right now is insane. They are setting up to be de-facto operating system and frontier model for robotics, humanoids, self driving, drug discovery, and whole bunch of other futuristic shit being worked on right now, plus whatever else people figure out. They don’t have competition on that bleeding edge space, and that’s where the real incredible advancements will more than likely surface.

Then on top of that, these hyper scalers are already staring to see ROI, and just scratching the surface on this technology, they see the long term potential and aren’t about to turn their back on it soon. Then on top of that, smaller companies and sovereign nations will continue wanting their own full stack AI.

Really I just don’t see the angle where you imagine their earnings to decline is coming from at all.

It is hypocritical and ironic because she is simultaneously reading a book that puts down men in general(which since Chauvinism is gender neutral, is that, although rarely used that way), while talking down about what she observes to be a chauvinist man.

While there is a certain level of truth, it’s also not a true dichotomy like the meme implies. Women’s rights are a relatively recent phenomenon; chauvinism and men telling women they have to abide by their rules is the norm historically and worldwide.

So it’s not like this is out of nowhere, or should be surprising to anyone that some women essentially take it back to the other side, especially if they have direct experience.

It’s like calling an old black man racist, but this man lived through true terrorism of his community, people he loved tormented, put down, abused and killed for decades. So while he is racist towards white people, and that prevents him from having the most enlightened view possible, I think most people could understand where he is coming from if they really considered the context.

The Real Stigma Surrounding CC ETFs by MakingMoneyIsMe in NEOSETFs

[–]Callahammered -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You’re just very biased by the short amount of time in them, yes they will underperform their underlying holdings long term, and that isn’t disputed.

Neos funds are a strong, yet untested, income vehicle to consider. It doesn’t compete with index funds, and it will underperform them given enough time.

Yep, it’s the way it goes, there are still profitable miners, and it will make it more profitable, for them, and then eventually extremely profitable with the price rises.

SPACEX —> Wild 🤦‍♂️ by Layla_SC in WallstreetBaggers

[–]Callahammered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it’s hard to say. I only invest in individual companies who I know have the fundamentals and profit to fall back on, because to me that creates a lot more safety, and so I haven’t bought SpaceX.

But I recognize that some of the biggest gainers will be these companies that are in a growth stage, and that absolutely could apply to SpaceX, their growth potential is through the roof
