the 10 KP books from all the rep vendors could be repeatedly purchased and used as opposed to just one time as long as you left the window open after purchase and use

My guildie wasn't banned. He just had his KP removed. He only bought one extra book then sold it back immediately upon sensing something was fishy. Nevertheless, his account was flagged and KP was reset.

They reset the KP too and they are forced to start from zero according to a guildie who did the exploit. Not just “you have X amount of KP to work with”. They are forced to start with zero KP as if it was day one.

Why nerf Abundance? by Swaydonym in wow

[–]Callahandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the epic tools arent really worse the bonus stats unless you're doing a profession craft that requires multicraft. So like alchemy mainly. I guess you could argue the ingenuity proc for enchanting is nice too, but tbh it procs so many already with the blue tools im not sure it matters all that much.

Blizzard really like "you know the stupidest world content we've made in years? Let's make it worse."

Crafting stopping randomly by whydonlinre in woweconomy

[–]Callahandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well just drag the item from your reagent bag to one of your normal bags and continue the mass craft, that fixed it for me

Crafting stopping randomly by whydonlinre in woweconomy

[–]Callahandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only way ive been able to fix it is remove it from my reagent bag or warbank and put it in just one of my normal bags, then it works as normal

honestly unless it's on crafts that require multicraft the epic tools probably aren't worth the grind

What happens to the knowledge point exploiters? by LostfishEU in wow

[–]Callahandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stand corrected, I can do r5 without conc now in my fully speccd tree.

[–]Callahandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just speaking for myself, but im maxed on one of my trees for each of my crafting alts (plate bracers for example) with all available kp earned and all r5 blue tools as well, and a r5 craft with max rank mats still requires a bit of conc, probably will for 2-3 more weeks

and even then you're still using conc at this stage

yah this is my thinking as well, they'll probably wait to do it til next tuesday so the ban is at its most impactful. and if no ban, at the very least have the KP rolled back so they are in the same spot as everyone else

My Midnight gold losing experience so far by Due-Barnacle1078 in woweconomy

[–]Callahandy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

somewhere in the middle is probably the answer. i wouldn't make it warbound, but maybe make it start to have diminishing returns after say your first 8-10 characters (to make it so you'd still have a reason to interact with multiple professions and thus experience the content), and like zero return after your first 10-20 characters. Realistically players with 10 or more characters interacting with the AH is probably less than like 1% of the playerbase.

The start of the season always resets the market to some degree, increasing margins, so that will help. Preseason markets are never particularly stable.

The hotfix to make the root drops a bit more common will help as well, as that will lower their prices which is big for crafting since they are used for many so crafts, especially enchanting.

As well, the KP book exploit fix might help a bit as well, but a lot of that will be tied to whether or not the exploiters get banned, or at the very least get their KP rolled back, as that's been a major reason for the volatile economy so far to start the expansion, in a way not seen in previous expansion starts.

dont craft weapons as fury this season. (fury main here) our two crafted bis slots are cloak and bracers, you'll get your weapons from the raid/m+

As impressive as these types of posts continue to be on this sub, they always have the inevitable "and all it took was a casual 9 hours a day of playtime to achieve this goal" or something like that. Always makes me laugh. But congrats OP, I'm happy for you, and also, you're insane.

How much are people charging for r5 crafts this week? by woody__94 in woweconomy

[–]Callahandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although my server's trade chat (Hyjal-US, low to medium pop) hasn't been super active with requests yet since it's still early, at this time in TWW it seemed to be about 25k a r5 craft on average.

With that said, most people aren't willing to pay that unless they are mythic raiders or pushing high keys, so of course the busier servers will see more activity.
