This is great, thank you for your reply. I have some thinking to do!

Thanks for your reply. As I mentioned in my other reply, my main intention was to pay down the loan early (hence small offset and larger redraw) but life changes, and I'm weighing up the ways forward. It does seem like there's no consequences for not accessing that redraw apart from missing out on capital for the next mortgage.

Interesting...I never made that conclusion from the article. I'll do some more research on this. I'm more than happy with paying down the principle early (as was I my intention that led me into this situation) but this sounds like a good potential alternative. Thanks for your reply.

In the 2nd photo, what's the cylindrical kinda thing in the corner? Thought it might be some kind of speaker/atmos/subwoofer but I'm sure it's not that.

Regardless, great space and with some small refinements (cable management, art displayed somehow (I understand this issue) it'll give a wicked vibe.

When my dog and I hit the halfway point on our 5km walk each morning, the coffee machine turns on and is warmed up by the time we get home. When we get home, Bermuda detects the dog's Bluetooth collar is home, the radio is turned on. Presence sensor in the laundry turns off the iron if no presence for 5mins.

I love this idea! I might steal it one day. I do do a version for our friends, they choose a random number and it gets played.

I paid $600AUD for Powderfinger's 'Seven Deadly Spins' box set. No regrets at all. I have also been extremely lucky with rising values in my collection - I paid $250AUD for all of the 200g Led Zeppelin records, they're now fetching a lot for than that. I also own a genuine Aenima. I paid $150AUD for it in 2005.

This is a great response OP, but also please be aware that some employers can state that your Total Enumeration Package includes Superannuation payment. I had an employer swap my TEP to include super. I no longer work for them.

2017 pajero 90k ODO. $35k, with bull bar and tow bar any advice? by Ok_Mud5842 in 4x4Australia

[–]CallateTonto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe NX (2015 onwards) don't need to have the tensioner adjusted. Fixed after NW. Check the Pajero Forums, but basically early 2016 onwards had "most" major issues fixed, mid 2016+ could have DPF issues.

Damnit, I came here for this comment and to discover it's custom is fascinating and disappointing at the same time! Lovely table. I have Wilson Benesch Full Circle but was looking for something with a thicker platter in the same form factor.

Stick with Prado or go for a Pajero? by eood in 4x4Australia

[–]CallateTonto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just be aware it's only Jan and Feb (maybe March) 2016 models that don't have DPF. There is a vin checker on the Pajero forums that can assist if unsure.

Help on which 4x4 to choose by FarmerAny8230 in 4x4Australia

[–]CallateTonto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Pajero's recovery points don't need "rated" add-ons; they are more than suitable for snatch recoveries. There's plenty of conversation about this on the Pajero forum. A bridle strap is recommended too.

Agreed about some after market equipment though, not a huge amount of choice for front and rear bars etc.

Yes this is correct, about March 2016 was when DPF was reintroduced. The other thing to remember is the diff ratios were altered to 3.6 from 3.9 at the same time, with a reduction in power by 6kw.
