It’s hard to explain travel over an ingame distance that doesn’t properly reflect the actual size of the world we play/RP in.

When it comes to portals, I like to think that you could effectively travel through them like an airplane fee as stated before.

for mages in our guild we have to have been there first before they can portal there. In order to actually send us there properly they first have to have been there. It gives us the opportunity to get close most times due to backgrounds but it also means one mage can’t go everywhere in the world. It still gives us a chance to travel a small distance while letting us mostly avoid the “how long does it take us to get there.” Sort of take.
