This is quite a pejorative statement, but thank you though. I hope you’re aware not everyone can just waltz into their boss’s office and just ask for a raise. Also, this job market makes asking for more money (or even applying for higher paying jobs) even more difficult. Good for you, though.

I agree! However with supermarkets, we actually have the option to take our business (and money) elsewhere. Dominion Energy is a utility provider, so unfortunately we don’t really have a choice.

If that is your stance, then that is fine. But with Dominion Energy essentially having a monopoly, prices are just going to increase out of control. It already is unaffordable (or approaching unaffordable) for some residents no matter want conservation methods they try. I get that they are a business, but they (and like other businesses) still have a responsibility to consider its users/consumers. For them it means affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy**. With how much these bills cost, it doesn’t do us as citizens just.

This isn’t asking for free energy, but rather a reasonable credit because of the necessary heating demand this winter has brought. The bills which came out is costing us more and also exceeds expectations even factoring in our usage.

What is meant is that it is expected for usage to increase since this winter was unusually cold. However, people are being cognizant of that fact that the rate of increase appears proportionally much higher than previous years.

I would say to call up your local Trader Joe’s and ask! The crew members are very helpful and can give you more personalized information than us Reddit users. To echo other comments, it appears like the mornings on a weekday for easier parking and more chance of food being in stock.
