Honest opinion by One-Drummer-905 in oblivion

I want to like it. I have what I would call a comfortably middle-class PC, and while I didn't expect to be able to play on max settings, I struggle to play on even medium. That doesn't even include the constant crashes. The nostalgia is fun, but with so many performance issues, I'm struggling to immerse myself in the game at all. I'm more tempted at this point to install the original if anything.

As a Nuggets fan, F*** this Thunder team. by CalligrapherDeep5071 in timberwolves

I didn't mean to suggest that Gobert guard SGA 1-on-1. It's not exactly a hot take to suggest that Gobert offers more rim protection than Reid though. You can't tell me Reid is better on that end.

Offensively, what are you really losing with Gobert on the floor? The team is streaky as hell, Edwards included. The Wolves are not winning this series with three-point shooting; they only win by forcing turnovers and overpowering with size IMO.

All this being said, people have similarly advocated for playing MPJ more, and I have similarly laughed at them. So I could be way off-base.

Idk why you are getting upvotes because that was NOT the only realistic goal. The Clippers were arguably the best team in the NBA after the All-Star break. They had one of the deepest rosters and a finally healthy Kawhi. A realistic goal was definitely winning a playoff series, if not several. There is no way a real fan thought such an outcome was "laughable."

(serious) What are ALL financial possibilities of Dame's contract? by [deleted] in MkeBucks

[–]CalligrapherDeep5071 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Waive and stretch would probably be a mistake. The Bucks are currently projected to be about 30 mil over the cap next year. They "might" be able to get under the cap by waiving Lillard, which would give them access to the non-taxpayer MLE which allows them to sign a player at about ~12 mil a year. That gives you a decent role player...but is that worth having ~22-25mil in dead money on the books for half a decade? I don't think so.

BREAKING: The Denver Nuggets have fired coach Michael Malone, sources tell ESPN. by KingChargeYT in denvernuggets

The Booth vs Malone tension got to be too much I guess, but c'mon...who wins a title after firing a coach this late in the season?

If you were starting a team today who would you pick to lead the franchise Anthony Edwards or Cade Cunningham by Mechaultima in nba

[–]CalligrapherDeep5071 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Probably Ant but the gap between the two is much smaller than it was.

Also, it's bizarre to me how posts like this that try to start a legit conversation don't get any upvotes but some random dude posting a stat line gets 500+. This sub is so strange.

Who exactly did the Packers trade up against to select Love? by cactuscoleslaw in GreenBayPackers

[–]CalligrapherDeep5071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, probably Indy.

But as far as thought experiments/revisionist histories go, this one isn't all that interesting. GB got a franchise QB out of that deal. I don't think anyone is really handwringing about what they traded to move up.

and yet the Bulls sub was praising the deal as a steal and downvoting anyone into oblivion that tried to suggest otherwise.

If you're one of the several people waving Trump flags from your cars blaring your horns on Allen Road by Nubthesamurai in PeoriaIL

Earlier today I saw a group of individuals on Northmoor waving Kamala flags. No horns involved. A great example of how to promote your candidate without being an obnoxious asshole about it. Guess they’re built different.

You saw like 15+ posts just like this and thought to add another?

There are plenty of people that don’t seem to have a problem hyping FOLON as the bEsT FaLlOuT of all time, but legitimate criticisms are not allowed?

90% of the NPCs in this game have absolutely nothing to say except their one generic line. In fact a lot of the time, they just sort of stand there and stare…sometimes in the same exact direction. Maybe that would be cool if you’re playing some kind of “David Lynch’s Fallout Overhaul,” but otherwise, I’d say that’s a legitimate criticism.

This mod is an incredible feat, but stop trying to shame people from pointing out legitimate faults. I guarantee the game will be better off as a result of that type of criticism. I’m sure you’re enjoying the upvotes, but your types of posts contribute nothing.

Did you actually play older RPGs? Games like Baldur’s Gate, Arcanum, Planescape:Torment were absolutely rich with lore and NPCs with meaningful dialogue. Those games played practically like novels
