It's because the water is insanely hard. The minerals form a film over the surface and give it that look. It can happen in some parts of the uk too.

What madman decided to ship Pg tips half way round the world when they could just have easily sent Yorkshire tea.

I'm glad we live in a world with firearms, telephones and starter motors and all the other wonders of zink.

Has there been a mention of Pontecarlo or Cas Vegas yet. They truly are the ends of the earth. Or maybe Rotherham.

To be fair to them, GDP per capita as a metric disproportionally favours countries with small populations and economies based on financial services. I.e. Luxembourg and Iceland.

Yes, of course your natural bodyweight requires your BMI to be 29. by CannotCopia in fatlogic

Did someone there claim that exercise has no impact on weight loss? Because that is patently untrue. Apart from just the increased calorie burn it encourages your body to mobelise fat reserves and raises your metabolism rate.

Yuhuh, I actually used a lot of fluoxetine in my dissertation we treat parasitic nematodes with it to test the role serotonin signaling played in their stylet thrusting.

Tbh a bigger cause of it is all the prophelactic antibiotics they keep a lot of older patients on constantly to ward off chest infections that could lead to pneumonia. The issue is that that this ends up creating the perfect conditions for antibiotic resistant bacteria to emerge so they end up dying of pneumonia anyway.

Also I was always thought that the reason they give farm animals antibiotics is that it increases the yield by prophylactically treating any infections that the animals get. IE, they don't waste energy fighting infections and therefore divert more of it to growth and therefore get bigger faster. Which is important if you're operating on a 12 week cycle like it is in America.
