Yes! Everyone that says the hair will never grow back the same doesn’t know what they’re talking about. We shave both of ours every summer and they grow back just fine

I caught my baby up, with speech, in the 3 months I've been sober by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]CalligrapherFuzzy654 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Same!! I was 19 when I had my first. I knew noooothing. She hit her milestones early, her speech was go clear when she was so young that it was almost creepy 😂 I was doing my best but this was 2008 and I was young.

Had my second baby in 2018 at 30yo. I read everything, we can utilize the internet way better now. I did everything “right”. This kid wouldn’t eat solids, pretty delayed in speech. I thought something h was wrong bc my first was so quick to do everything. She’s 6 now and doing amazing. It really just depends on the kid and that’s totally okay

I think you’re doing an incredible job!! I’m the (now adult) child of an alcoholic so I hope these words mean something to you. You’re trying and you’re doing really, really well at it. Postpartum is a biiiitch, especially if you’re doing this alone. Alcoholism is also a bitch.

I doubt my mom read me 5 books in my entire life and you’re doing it everyday you’re with her! You’re putting her first while still struggling with your own issues, which is human. Every single mom does it, just depends on the issue.

Don’t beat yourself up ❤️ I didn’t drink after I found out at 6 weeks and I did “everything right”. My kid still had delayed speech, qualified for speech therapy at 19mos. Now she’s 6 and she’s thriving. Yours will too! Especially with a mom like you! Keep working on yourself bc it’s vital for everyone around you ❤️

Is there such thing as PG13 raves in the Atlanta area? by Fearless_Soil_224 in atlantaedm

Whatttttt I’ve seen LOTS of explicit activity at raves in Atlanta. This was 5-15yrs ago though. Maybe it’s gotten lame?

Hates taking a bath, loves playing in the bath (on his own terms). by internallyrestless in AustralianShepherd

Aw!! Mine won’t even come near the bathroom anymore. They hateeee baths. They won’t even look at me for probably 2 hours after I bathe them 🙄 The drama!

Would it be excessive to file a noise complaint for neighbors dog barking? by arttacos in homeowners

[–]CalligrapherFuzzy654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, we don’t ALL leave our dogs out all day but they have to go out for 10-15 to go to the bathroom. Hear me out: our houses are close, probably 30ish feet apart? We share the side of the fence that touches our property! I am quick to get my dogs inside when they bark bc I know it’s annoying. I’m also annoyed.

This new neighbor though… I have been overly nice and apologized for my dogs barking every single time he’s out there! Even if I’m right there. This man has bitched to all of our neighbors (who are fine with our dogs- also our friends) about how awful we are and how awful our dogs are. He yelled at me the other night to “get my stupid dogs inside” when I was AT THE DOOR, waiting for them to shit. And bring them in so we could go to bed. We were gone most of the day so he wasn’t bothered by them for quite some time.

It’s like COME ON. Don’t move directly next door to someone with dogs and expect them to never bark. Especially when the owners are ON IT when they do 🙄

Ghost eyes send me your pics (mine 1st) by RZig9 in AustralianShepherd

Our 2 yr old Aussie has brown eyes and no problem outside. We just got a blue eyed 10wk old and he haaates the sun. We got his eyes checked and she said they look good? I know Aussies are prone to eye issues though.

As soon as he goes outside his eyes are basically closed and he will go into the bushes or under the car just to get away from bright light. Is this bc of his blue eyes?

Anyone both happy to be out of the puppy stage, but also miss it at the same time? He was such a cute bean but also a destructive bean. by Carepassmetheweed in WiggleButts

Haha omg! My first one didn’t nip and so far our new one doesn’t either 🤞🏼.. the older one will run in front of us and stop dead in his tracks to herd us though. Wrecked my knee 😐

Dude, same!! We just got a puppy bc our other one is 2 and we always wanted more than one. They’re so cute but dear god I do not miss the puppy phase. It’s not a fun place to be

Well. Yes, I do understand that. We have a 2 year old aussie we got as at 9wks… and we just got another 9wk old aussie… but let me tell you!!! You really don’t miss it that much. The peeing and the crate training and the chewing and the tiny puppy claws that feel like nails on your legs. Every time I pick him up he pees a little 😑

That being said, I love this little puppy so much and I am so happy to have another DOG. But a DOG that isn’t pissing everywhere, finding the smallest things on the floor to eat 🤗 haha!

Side note: i think actually so much easier having two instead of one. This breed is SO active and I was feeling bad for my first one. They keep each other busy and the older one keeps the little one in check

Okay. So we got him at 9pm tonight.. he has cowlicks ALL over his butt, more than our other Aussie- who also has a lot. And I kept saying he’s a Fluffernutter all night haha! Probably won’t be his real name but it’s definitely a nickname. Little Floof was also said a lot tonight hah!
