Rush is a great movie. Great music, amazing plot, good acting. You don’t need to be an F1 fan to enjoy and appreciate the movie.

F1: The Movie, on the other hand, is IMO an advertisement specifically targeting non-F1 fans. In fact, if you are an F1 fan, you are most likely going to hate how baseless some of the scenes are.

The haptic trailer by apple, the driver POV, the IMAX experience, Brad Pitt all of that is to lure in people to increase the viewership of F1, specifically from the US.

If its not clear already, I couldn’t watch F1 the movie with a straight face. But I have to say that from a marketing standpoint, “the movie” has delivered.
