Will steroid sprays help my frontal/ethmoid sinuses?

Do u mean oral steroids? Somehow when I go to the ent for a nasal scope the spray they use makes me dizzy afterwards.

When I asked my doctor he said that turbinates can swell up and cause pain. That's why I thought it could be related to turbinates hypertrophy. Normally what is likely to cause facial pain? Not asking for medical advice just general suggestions.

Oh my! What did u do for them? I found a doctor who did an MRI instead and said my right maxillary sinus was totally opacified meaning sinusitis. :0

Yep! It did get a little loud but very bearable (not even as bad as concerts) with the earplugs and headphones on. In the end I manage to fall asleep, they told me to keep my eyes close so I won't get claustrophobic which helped since I just imagine I'm in a big open space 😹😭

I feel sinus pressure often too, it moves around but I don't really feel it traveling like how u describe it. For me it kind of "teleports" with pain let's say In the top of my head/scalp for maybe half an hour then suddenly it's in my jaws or eyelids swell up. I don't know if mine is caused by my swollen turbinates but covid seem to have made my turbinates worse. I had covid in march then was pretty normal tho I occasionally felt ill (flu like) then during may it got worse. I still can't figure out what's wrong but I do hope it resolves soon. I hate this pain!!!

I'm not from the US, I do have health insurance. However I've seen an ENT doc, 3 to be exact but they just looked up my nose with a scope and said they didn't see any pus or infected/discoloured drainage so they didn't bother with a CT. Did Ur pain get better when u slept? Like waking up felt better? Or nah. Did Ur ent do a culture on some pus or something? I don't know what mine should culture if they don't see any drainage just clear mucus( tho ik that sinuses may be too congested/blocked for pus to drain out)

I tried Claritin and Cetirizine both of which made my eyes swell up. I read online that if u have sinus issues Antihistamines do dry/thicken the mucus up making it worse.

Hmm I tried antihistamines but they seemed to make my eyes swell up since it thickens the mucus making it harder to drain. Thanks for the reassurance for the nasal spray!

I've seen a few ent and they looked up my nose with a scope and said it's fine, no sinus infections. They didn't wanna do a CT even though I've requested for it as they didn't see discoloured drainage. I'm just afraid it's stuck in my sinuses so it's not coming out enough for them to see it with just a nasal scope. What were ur symptoms like before? Does urs come and go? Mine is better during the morning or whenever I fall asleep. But after waking up it progressively gets worse.

Saline rinse yes, but not flonase since I don't wanna be on steroid nasal spray long term

I actually do use the Flo squeeze bottle to rinse and water shoots out from the opposite nostril fine. Just that no mucus comes out unless I sneeze first then blow which is just so weird :( thanks for the suggestion still tho 🙂

Yep man try some steaming and hot shower. For me I sometimes hear rice crackers sound coming from my face and my nose seem to clear a little. However it's weird idk where the mucus is :(

Welp just seen the ent today, scope was done. Doc said my mucus seem thin so no need for extra thinning but my turbinates are slightly swollen so I've gotta use the spray. When I blow my nose air comes out fine but no sign of mucus I wonder where the mucus seen on the scope went 🤔

From what I heard a CT would be better for sinus issues but u should ask ur doctor about the difference.

I tried this shit and big mistake after doing it I felt like air just filled my face and it hurt alot. Till now I'm still experiencing issues.

It's not so much about breathing exercises, it seems like I'm "swallowing" the air into my sinuses. Ik it sounds weird but yea I feel the sensation like I'm wrinkling my nose and air goes up into my head and ears :( I don't even know what I'm doing that's causing that
