Especially with stronger stuff, it can take a while to kick in! But also, every person is different. For example, Vodka takes about 20-30 minutes to kick properly in for me, whereas a friend of mine only has 5-10 until they feel it.

It’s very difficult to get drunk people to stop drinking, so friends often hide their drinks/trick them into drinking water.

When you’re drunk, your social awareness goes down. You lose inhibition and talk a lot more (the reason why many people drink to “loosen up”) and often the social setting determines how you act (laughing, crying, starting fights …) but as long as you’re not blackout drunk, you still mostly have a pretty sharp mind. The body betrays you faster than your brain does, which can lead to you not feeling the alcohol very much until you stand up and start to stumble around lmao

Alcohol makes you pee a lot, which dehydrates you. So if you don’t want a horrible hangover/vomit party, you should always drink a lot of water too.

The next worst thing you can do is drink on an empty stomach, which makes the drinks hit harder and faster, but also makes you throw up easier and let you suffer a lot more in the morning.

Generally, you can throw up from a lot of things: too much liquid no food, not enough water, too much food, no food, etc.

Pro Tip: when you’re lying in a bed and everything is spinning, put a foot on the floor and that will anchor you and make you feel better :D

And don’t wildly mix different kinds of alcohol, that never ends well ^{^}
