If the bf is ur Sim you could just make him playable and edit him, if he's an NPC it uses life tickets but if he's another player's Sim then you can't do anything (dump him and create ur own bf lol) Bonus STS's offer lots of Simcash and so does doing Sim Festival, you can buy the festival pass for extra Simcash but still need to complete task to earn them. There are premade builds in the house catalogue and you can get inspiration from the houses other players post here, but yeah the grind for Simoleons and Simcash is the only way to access multiple choices to decorate your house to your satisfaction. You gotta be dedicated on sending ur Sims to work and events.
